Simple solution

I needed to regulate my home office so the temperature stay the same regardless of the temperature in other parts of the house. This was the solution and it works. During the hours I’m not working, the NEST app will switch over and let the thermostat regulate. The build is good, but as with any electronic device, you don’t want to drop it.

What Nest has been missing

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The new Google Nest remote sensor is what the Nest thermostat line has been missing versus Ecobee brand products. The only downside is that at least currently, you can not setup the sensor and thermostat to provide an average temperature. Depending on your needs this might be a make or break situation. Otherwise it was a simple plug and play setup process.

Used for baby’s room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The sensor is used to regulate the temperature for our child’s room so we don’t have to keep opening and closing the door to regulate the temp ourself. We simply set our nest thermostat to a certain temperature in the room using the sensor and we don’t have to worry that it’s getting too hot or too cold. ***our sensor wasn’t 100% accurate until it had been in the room for 24 hours. Maybe it needs to calibrate itself? Idk, but don’t be discouraged if the sensor isn’t 100% accurate right away.

Good but not needed
