Have it in a more commonly used room that is often a little colder that room where thermostat is placed. Once added you can use this "satellite" sensor as the thermostat setting goal (instead of t.stat reading), so cold room is no long cold, this also helped me see the difference in multiple rooms (just move it around) and adjust my vent dampers accordingly for desired results & energy savings!
