Make sure you have the right thermostat first
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned it because it only works with two nest thermostats, one in which is no longer available. I would have to purchase a $250 thermostat in order for this to work

Does what it needs to do, but nothing more.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only really good for giving you temperatures for the room its in. The thermostat can't average the temps of all sensors together and cool based off that. Really overpriced for what it is, but needed it for monitoring temperatures in my network closet.

Great simple add on to the nest system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are a great addition to a nest thermostat home. It easily lets me see temperatures in other areas of the house and I can change the thermostat to use that as the reference. It's made it much easier to control the places we are occupying.

Cheaper than moving a thermostat
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My house faces west so my upstairs rooms become pretty hot in the afternoon. I was told I should move my thermostat. I found out about this sensor and tried it out. Best $40 I ever spent. My upstairs rooms are not much cooler.

Works well
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On its own it doesn't do much besides tell the temperature but with a little clever schedule settings can be manipulated by room. These are only needed for rooms that you are often in but the thermostat isn't

works great!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.added these along with their thermostat: no more cold rooms. Added them to the kitchen, den, and main bathrooms (all have an exterior wall) as these rooms were always cold in the winter. Not anymore!

Great for room with difficult temps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Added sensor to nursery to make sure that kids are comfortable without worry from thermostat reading from the hallway where the ceiling is vaulted. Will be purchasing 1-2 additional for master bedroom and one additional guest room.

Its exactly what I needed.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like title says, its exactly what I needed. Instead of moving the nest thermostat I just use the nest temp sensor connected to thermostat as a "thermostat". I recommend to anyone that might be interested in buying

Good product. But...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great product as far as quality. But if it had one additional feature it would be perfect. You can set it to read this sensor for morning, afternoon, etc. but you can not adjust the actual times for it to read it. For example, morning is set from 0700-1000. There is not a way to adjust those times.

Not what I though it would do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased 2 of these sensors with a Nest Gen 3 Learning Thermostat, thinking I would be able to have my 3-story home heated/cooled based on a combination of the 3 units. Unfortunately, I didn't do all of my homework before buying the sensors, and I late found out that the thermostat can only heat/cool the house based on the sensing of only one unit at a time. So, my themostat is on my main floor, and I have a sensor in my basement, and one on the second floor. I can only run my heater/AC based on one of the sensors. Like in the winter, if my basement is colder, I would set my system to heat based on the basement sensor or thermostat on the main floor. And in the summer, I would cool my home based based on the second floor sensor or thermostat on the main floor. But it won't equalize my temperatures in the entire home based on the readings of all 3.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WOW, so easy to set up! Just scan the bar code and it connects to your Nest Thermostat E, simple and it works great. Mine is locate near to "filter intake" to have a true air temperature. Works well at this location....
