One star deducted... It does its job. House is very comfortable. However... It will sometimes lose connection with the T-stat. This takes a hard reboot of the Gen 3 to reconnect. Wish Nest-google would make it easier to re-sync when connection is lost.

As in my house, thermostats are not always located where people spend the most time. Coupled with the Nest Thermostats, the sensors allow you to set temperature and reading in any room and also change that location by merely moving the sensor. You can have multiple sensors and change reading location based on a schedule. In my case, the thermostat upstairs is located in a hall with no heating outlet so having the sensor allows me to have the thermostats read in any bedroom giving a more accurate thermostats reading.

Very handy accesories, that save me money on electricity right away. Very easy to install.

I have a few rooms that are not near the controlling thermostat. These sensors allow the Nest to prioritize certain areas at different times of the day. I had one and eventually bought this 3-pack.

I bought this about two years ago and it’s in and off worked about a third of the time. For example around december after it was working for around 4 months it disconnected and refused to reconnect. I changed the battery and tried on off for a week since I know it’s temperamental. I gave up for two months and at the beginning of March it just reconnected again by itself. Useless finicky piece of junk.

I have it in the front bedroom where the sun hit the outside wall and the room is a little warm in the middle of the day, it does keep the room cooler but rest of house gets colder you just have to adjust the temp to a Happy medium.

Really extends the value of your Nest thermostat system. Having the Nest prioritize cooling/heating is great, especially for bedtimes. Highly recommend to Nest users.

This really helps with energy cost by targeting what room your in and not waste extra heating for a room you’re not in

I have 4 zones of heat in my house that cover multiple rooms. I wish I had bought these sensors when they first came out. My heat is my more consistent throughout all my rooms now.

Works like a charm and serves its purpose in the house.

I have the nest thermostat only show the temperature on that room but with the temperature sensor I know what temperature is in each room, plus I can use the sensor to set the thermostat for that room.

Easy to set up. This was great b/c I put it in a room that is usually hotter than the rest of the house... the Nest uses it to make the temperature equal to the themastat... great!

This was a little bit of a pain to set up (had to factory reset, also had to reboot my thermostat), but now it’s doing a fantastic job

These are convenient for tracking the temperature n different areas of your home. But all spaces are created equal when it comes to the temperature.

We have two young children in their own rooms, so we love the ability to have the heat or AC controlled by the temperatures in their rooms rather than the thermostat in the hallway.

I was having one of my bedroom always too hot. I added the sensor and now the heat is what it should be. Very happy and inexpensive purchase.

Bought these to add to the house to keep track of temperatures in the kids rooms. Great to have when the bedrooms get way colder than the living room where the thermostat is.

Adding these sensors showed me where I was losing heat and I saw that I needed to recaulk some windows

This sensor is great. It’s always a few degrees cooler in our living room than the bedrooms and this sensor allows the space we are using to get to the right temp. It’s made the house much more comfortable.
