Great Thermostat - needed power connector

Setting up is a little complicated if you have no experience, but managable. I needed to connect a power connector to the thermostat, but it lasted a while until I had time to do it.

The Nest Thermostat is designed to work if your home doesn’t have a common (“C”) wire. In some cases, particularly if you have a heating- or cooling-only system or use a zone controller, a C wire or other power-supply accessory may be necessary. This app is extremely easy to use and set up for hot or cold situations and also helps monitor energy usage.

When we bought our home in 19' we had a Honeywell Smart Thermostat. However it was a nightmare to setup *Had to do weird things with wifi on phone to get it to recognize the Honeywell wifi* This was a welcomed change and led my crossover into the Google Home Ecosystem! I set it up initally and have NEVER had to take it off the wall because it lost connection or would not connect. It works effortlessly with the Home App and is very easy to set up a schedule and tweak all of the settings on the App. Also super easy to control when away from home! The screen is NOT touch screen lol. The build in pressure buttons on the side is very neat and sleek since there are no visible buttons. It take a while to get use to swiping up and down for temps if you are adjusting the temp on the thermostat. A great introduction to Smart home tech. And it is SUPER reliable!

Its easy to use and easy to install. I love that I can set the temperature from my phone if I am away too.

And as someone who loves to sleep with the air way down, it's so simple to just have the thermostat set to change at certain times each day. It's much easier to do that on the nest thermostat than with the old thermostat that may already be in your home. I gave up trying to program the old one and would simply try to remember to adjust twice a day. It'll come as no surprise to find that this did not work out well very often. But after the upgrade I've saved an average of 2 dollars a day on energy along with the simple peace of mind not having to worry about it and let the nest just do its thing. Be sure to pick up the backplate as well if you aren't 100% certain that you won't need it. Returns are easy with best buy so it's better to just have it but not need it rather than the other way around. Love how simple and easy to use the nest thermostat and I can't imagine going without it.
