You're giving up nothing in functionality with this one. Maybe a little in aesthetics but only if you're a fan of the traditional Nest design.

Most electric providers even give discounts for the product which makes the price even more appealing. I have installed 3 of these and they are very easy to install, the instructions are very easy to follow.

My only compliant would be that the interface with the physical thermostat is a li'l tricky. But, the app is so easy to use that it sorta balances out.

I ended up spending $1K to have a heating contractor re-wire before this would work properly.

Don't have a C wire which makes it so the motion sensor does not work when you approach it or the fan will not turn on when the thermostat is on but besides that is works fine.

Much better than the Nest 3rd generation

I like the fact I can program the temperatures and the home/away works great.

Glad I went with the more affordable one. Seems the same to me and the aesthetics of this thermostat looks amazing on my wall. The mirror finish is a nice touch. 10/10 set up couldn’t be any easier.

Good product and easy for installation

Takes me less than 30 minutes to put it on. This is my first time doing this. If anything that I dislike is using Google home app. I have issues the first time to link it. It take more time for me to link it than install it.
