Posted .Hello there, Dennis. Thanks for the feedback you shared, and we hear your concern about creating schedules for the Nest Thermostat. When you manually adjust the temperature, the temperature will stick until the next scheduled temperature change. With a temperature preset, you can easily set a specific temperature that you repeatedly use a bit faster than manually adjusting the temperature dial. Besides using ready-made presets like Comfort, Eco, and Sleep, you can create custom presets. This is helpful for other times you might like a specific temperature that’s not included in your thermostat’s existing presets. The c-wire is to assist with battery life is somewhat confusing. The battery life is short lived without the c-wire which is a black wire.

It’s more touch and swipe based. For my use case I have older people in the home and it’s more difficult for them. I didn’t return it but it’s caused issues.

This product makes regulating the heat in the home so much easier. We saw a 10% decrease in our heating bill because we were able to regulated the heat better with this device. Highly recommended.

Taking the picture like it told me before installing, allowed me to find my issue after having only the heat work. The device seems to work great! The only issue is that it doesn't seem to use the air on full blast, instead slowly lowering the temp over time. My old thermostat did things differently, apparently.

I had the Nest thermostat e, back when Google didn’t revamp this thermostat and I loved that one! This one is just so much better. The aesthetic, the fact that you use Google Home now, etc. Definitely a big upgrade from previous model!
