Would have been nice if all the programming transferred over. Best Buy experience was fine though. Hope Google will support the product for the long term as they are stopping support for 1st and 2nd Generation even though the hardware was still working.

I find it easier to use with the Nest mini vs the Echo dot. Do make sure you check the compatibility with your HVAC system before buying.

Setup is either easy, or very difficult. If you like to DIY and not pay for a “pro” install, make sure you do a lot of research before buying. If installation is not straight forward (my furnace has a 2-wire connection so installing a C wire is required) the instructions stop and google pushes you to hire a 3rd party installer. Finally my install is compete (with help from YouTube) and the thermostat works great. I wish they had better customer service.

Home environment controllable via internet management is awesome! Side touch control not the easiest to use though.

Connectivity issues for Nest Thermostat may be caused by several reasons such as Wi-Fi network congestion, distance of the device from the router, wireless interference with other Wi-Fi hotspots or devices nearby and other Wi-FI settings. Dual band connection should be compatible with Nest Thermostat. 2.4Ghz is more stable compared to 5Ghz especially if there are a lot of devices connected to the same network at the time.

It was easy to install since I had prior experience from another model. I wish the side touch had a bit more surface for adjusting the temperature but that's a minor annoyance. The separate trim if you have holes to cover is also slightly overpriced. The color stands out though and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one!

It was much easier to operate than this one. This was easy to install and I use my app to adjust the temp. I would recommend the higher end one but this is good for budget means.
