Don't have a C wire which makes it so the motion sensor does not work when you approach it or the fan will not turn on when the thermostat is on but besides that is works fine.

Takes me less than 30 minutes to put it on. This is my first time doing this. If anything that I dislike is using Google home app. I have issues the first time to link it. It take more time for me to link it than install it.

Very good thermostat

You control your own temperature and it will stay like you programmed. I used to have NV energy thermostat and NV energy always change my temperature down to 75 between 3pm to 5 pm every day. It’s too much. I will highly recommend this nest thermostat.

Great and easy to install

The app should be the way to communicate between sensor and thermostat. There is no reason why this model doesnt have this feature.

Google app is also nice but not absolutely necessary.

I do like the next model up, but this model was sufficient for what we needed it for, and I loved being able to program it while I was away.

Not a good fit for our needs

Factory reset didn't fix it. I needed a quick replacement so I got this. The mirror finish is nice. Will take a little time to get used to swiping instead of turning the ring. Also I used the Nest app before and this forces using the Google Home app. I have a number of other Google devices so I was used to it. Still, for the thermostat,I preferred the Nest app. The trim kit is no longer included as before. One star knocked off for extra $15 for trim kit. Overall it seems like a good replacement and batteries for backing up settings in case of a power outage are easily accessed on the back of the puck.

The new Nest Thermostat is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your Nest devices can be set up and controlled in one place.

A Worthwhile Challenge

It took quite some expertise to complete the installation.

Easy to setup, use, and start saving money. The Green Leaf is a perfect way to make sure you being energy efficient. Google Home App integration makes it so simple to control from anywhere. The Home/Away Routines are perfect!

Budget friendly thermostat

Only con is that if you have a damper wire coming from your furnace, this thermostat doesn’t have that connection.

Wiring issues

Not needed with the other models installed . Need help that google didn’t understand to instal this model. My brother sent me a wiring diagram. Simple to do if you know what to do with a couple of wires.

Navigation/operation of my home AC is very intuitive and I didn't need to read the manual to start using it.
