This was great until it wouldn't stay connected to the app. Worked great for about 2 1/2 months and now it won't stay connected to the app so we can't control it remotely at all. Restarting it connects it back but it may stay connected for a day ir 2 then back to the same issue. I went through all the troubleshooting prior to calling then. Talking to Goggle nest customer service was pointless did all the same troubleshooting they have listed on the app that i told them i already did multiple times. I saw on anothwr review that the Google home app is the problem and they already know it but haven't done anything about it. I asked early on in the call if that was the issue to avoid wasting my time. The agent said she never heard of it only to put me on a long hold after the repetitive troubleshooting and tell me there is a problem with the Google app and they are working to resolve it. The problem with that is the review I had previously read about the app problem was already about 4 months old. I give up I'm taking this back and getting a Honeywell. I really wanted this to work badly but i refuse to pay and keep something that doesn't do what it is supposed to do. The whole point in a smart thermostat for me is to be able to control it remotely. Also i turned off the eco feature bc it kept setting my a/c at 80° in the middle of the morning and we work from home. In Texas heat that is the equivalent of no a/c. Google try again. Just won't be with me.

I found a phone number on the website, however. It would have been handy if it was included on the instruction sheet in the packaging. TV works great!

Good after electrical wiring upgrade

Only have 2 wires, but need a minimum of 3. Considered paying for Nest installation, but would have needed to bring in an electrician nonetheless to do the rewiring as Nest installer does not usually do that type of work. After electrician upgraded wiring, thermostat works as advertised, and now we have a sweet looking new thermostat on the wall.

Great Value But Not Easy to Use

The design looks better than the E model, but the touch control takes a while to get used to. Not easy for older parents.

Great addition to a smart home
