Also, programing is not intuitive, it is great once you figure it out, but I had to look for a while to find the right settings

Great for Summer Home

I would recommend this to a friend With common wire installed, everything was fine.

Some research suggested that in spite of the Nest thermostat saying no common wire was necessary it appears in my case it was. The bad news is that the unit "remembered" the setup and there was no way to "factory reset" the unit according to Nest Support. So I returned it and got a replacement. With the common wire installed the installation went fine.

Great thermostat for basic function and trending

I can make adjustments anytime, anywhere from my phone or using my nest hub max. But what I love the most is the data the thermostat record of my energy usage. This is where it really shines if you want to make routines based around the day or time of year. If you want full control then get the Learning version, but for the rest of us this sku is perfect. I got it for the sale price making it worth it alone for the energy saved.
