Posted .Hey there, thanks for leaving feedback about the Nest Thermostat, and it’s unfortunate to hear that you can’t adjust it while you're away from your house.
Once you add the thermostat to the Google Home app, you can easily control it using the app even when you’re not at home as long as your thermostat and Home app (phone or tablet) are both online. If your thermostat doesn't appear in the app, make sure you've added it to your account and fully set it up. If your thermostat is offline in the Home app, we suggest tying some troubleshooting steps here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9243422

Great for the money

You have to control it through the app on your phone. Also, this device does not have the "lock" feature. So we have upgraded.

Been a month of using it and good for a smart and cheaper thermostat that you just wifi connectivity and easy operation. One thing i noticed is that the thermostat would not start heating immediately when there is a drop in temp below theresold.. still learning its behavior

Programming this device is not as user-friendly as you would think. Directions are not straightforward and difficult to understand. Software needs significant overhaul. They should get people who are not programmers to actually lay out the user interface.
