A must have for multi-level homes unless you want to go up and down the stairs adjusting the temps. Wish these new units would sync with Nest app like my other units but I guess Google is shutting down the Nest app soon.

It works but having to use Google home seems limited. Had WiFi issues and had to buy a separate bracket and backplate to fit it over the rectangle hole.

I have 3 AC's and 3 furnaces in my new home. We installed these hoping to save money on utilities. They're amazing. The cost of heating my home this winter is cheaper than my old house which was 3 times smaller. Setting up the nest was pretty simple and setting the schedule was even easier. Definitely a must buy.

The app is straightforward and easy to use, but it only allows you to set 3 temperature settings: "Comfort", "Eco", and "Sleep". I had the Nest 2nd gen (from before Google purchased Nest) and I expected it to allow me to set whatever schedule I wanted. I wouldn't have bought this if I had known this beforehand. A majority of the cost was covered by a rebate, so I didn't dislike it enough to return it given it didn't cost much.

Always disconnecting & doing its own thing. We have smart appliances and lights but this is the only thing we have issues with.

Overall - in my opinion - not worth it. Just go with the higher model. This one won't let you add a secondary thermometer/sensor nor comes with the backplate, you would need to get a backplate separately. The only reasonable use case I see for this, would be to upgrade my rental home or something similar. If I'm effectively using this everyday, I would go with the higher model and get the rebates from my local energy provider.

I decided to purchase this model over the nest learning thermostat because my home take 2 thermostats and 2 nest would be pricey. That being said, I am not disappointed at all! They are a scaled down version of the nest models but still offer 85% of all the same features.

Only complaint is it was a little challenging to install but I honestly think that was due to the wiring of the previous one not this product!

G-SUITE USERS - ALERT If you have a GSuite account with Google, THIS STILL DOES NOT WORK. I know google has promised in the past to make the Nest thermostats work in GSuite. I was hoping that it was fixed with this new thermostat since it says its primarily setup with Google Home. Its not the case. Also annoying is the adjust and select functions that you "slide" your fingers on the right side and its not touch screen. The older Learning & E thermostats with the rotating ring were much easier to use. This was returned for an Ecobee3 that works just fine with Google Home and a GSuite account. Sorry Google.

Really cool thermostat. Only issue I can say is that the touch pad on the side isn’t the easiest to use but honestly don’t really adjust it thru the device much since have it to automatically adjust at certain times of the day.

Could take a while to connect. Customer Service shaky at best because instead being a expert the follow a guild book instead of knowing the product, Nest Hello even worse took hours.

I love the ability to control my thermostat outside of my home. Knowing the temperature of my home and adjusting it for my pets is great.

This is by far the best product I have purchased. I can control my thermostat from my bed, or when I go out, before I get home. The only thing I didn't know, was that you need to buy in some cases the frame to hold it in place if you have one of those old thermostat. Highly recommend.

Good thermostat but the regular nest is better and higher quality. It is very average but better looking for the price range. Only uses the google home app, I prefer the Nest app.

So far google nest products have been nothing but junk. This is no exception. Google nest video doorbell died within a few months. Google nest temperature sensor died after a year. This thermostat needed to have a power module sent to me by google (they offer it free because they know they screwed up on the design). Finally got that figured out no thanks to their terrible installation instructions (ended up watching video on y-tube to get it right). Wifi function worked for about a month. Now no matter what i try it reduses to connect to the wifi. The app is useless, their tech support online and in app is a joke. Save your money and buy an Ecobee.

I needed a new thermostat and this turned out to be a great one! I’m able to use the app and control the temperature of my home when I’m away and you can also program it to specific settings.

Works ok. I don’t like the difficult programming without detailed instructions. They made it way too complicated. I have two in the house [2 furnaces & ac units] and too often they don’t acknowledge when I’m home or away properly.

Thermostat is difficult to connect to internet and Google Home App. Took numerous tries by myself and 2 different Best Buy contractors.
