    Always wanted one of these! Installed it myself and it works like a champ. There's currently a $75 rebate so it made this a no brainer! Even Brandon would spot this as a good deal!

    This looks nice works but blows cold or cool air ecen though younset it higher,unless youbuse emergency heat function which shouldn't be necessary.Doesnt have all wire options

  • DON’T BUY without looking at your wires first!

    Many different websites say that this thermostat is compatible with a two-wire (no “c” or “common” wire) system. I think it WAS. At a time when you set it up electronically through the Nest app. There are several videos online which show you how to do it (the installation, not the setup on the app). HOWEVER...the QR code now forces you to use the Google Home app. This app will not allow for a full and successful setup without a c-wire. Once I realized this, a quick search online reveals the same thing. Further investigation reveals that having no c-wire causes problems with the batteries charging leading to more serious problems. Unless you already have a C-wire system (or equivalent), or just really want to rip up your walls to run a c-wire, I would NOT recommend this product.

      Nest thermostats can charge their built-in battery using your system’s heating and cooling wires. But, when your heating and cooling wires are not able to deliver the needed power for your Nest thermostat, you may need to connect a common or C wire.
