Oh no! We´re truly sorry to hear that your system needs a common (C) wire in order to work with Nest Thermostat.
Nest thermostats are designed to be able to work efficiently without the need of a power or common (C) wire when the heating and cooling wires of your system can deliver enough power to keep the thermostat's battery charged up. However, some heating/cooling wires can't deliver adequate power to Nest thermostats. In such cases, Nest thermostats need a common (C) wire that goes into the C terminal of the thermostat base. The next best step would be to contact a Nest Pro technician to check your system and install a common (C) wire if needed.

There was a recall on my model and Best Buy didnt inform me.

BestBuy will not accept returns unless within 14 days. I couldnt get anyone to come out to help install within that date range. I did jot enroll in BestBuy Geek Squad because they are a rip off.

If you tell her to cool down it says it will do so in two hours. I had this for a month and replaced it with a manual which now I get my air You don’t have to wait. There are lotta settings you can only control for so long. Do not recommend

This is not the experience we want you to have. If your Nest Thermostat won’t turn on, the batteries could have drained or there could be a power issue. We suggest replacing the batteries with high-quality 1.5 V AAA alkaline batteries from a known manufacturer. They claimed this was very easy to install that I/anyone would be able to install in a short period of time. yet (they) the tech was not. very disappointing.

Does not work, nor do any nest products.

Do not trust any of the positive reviews as this product does not work. It is not compatible with your HVAC and if you do get it connected it won't connect to your wifi. There is no support at all. Do not waste your time and money.

While the Nest Thermostat is compatible with 85% of HVAC systems and designed to receive the needed power from the heating and cooling wires, some systems like heat-only, or cool-only heat pumps may require a common (C) wire to operate.

It chooses temp called eco friendly temp. Trying so hard to understand it failing. I juat want to be able to have ""fan on auto''' and change the temp as needed. Icant beat the program. Away feature does not work!

I was on with customer service for 30 minutes and they could not fix it. So, it does not detect when I leave my home to lower the temperature. Water of money.

Old Nest is better

Returned. The main (3rd generation Nest) is MUCH BETTER. It does cost twice as much. Nest needs to market upgrades/repair parts for it however.
