    I really like my Nest Thermostat. It covers all the bases for my place and has almost every feature I need. It does not have Thread support which is a bummer and it also does not support temperature sensors. Other than those things, it's a great thermostat and I would recommend it.

    worked great for a year then all of a sudden one of them stopped being able to see the network. Of course it is 7 days passed its warranty so google says i have to buy another one to fix the issue. After searching the internet found out this is a known issue and that one of the latest patches bricked some of them. Would only buy again if know issues are fixed and google steps up for breaking there own product.

    Why can you not sell a product with a written or at least published manual which does not require a telephone or an app to use. This could easily be incorporated into a home monitoring of WIFI system without a separate app and the need of a phone. I have two of these things.

    I purchased a reconditioned unit. So I have to pair the unit everyday to our phones in order to use our phones to adjust. The heat setting only blows cold. When it's hot it randomly goes to 78 degrees when we are sleeping so it feels like a sauna when we wake up. I'm sure we purchased the unit that says reconditioned and they did nothing to it. We only had 15 days to return it and by the time we were trying to see if it was us not knowing how to use it or it truly wasn't working it was too late. What I've learned not to buy reconditioned items from Best Buy.
