Hi Marsel, thanks for the feedback you posted about the Nest Thermostat, and we’re sorry to learn of your difficult experience with changing the set temperature.

Since the Nest Thermostat doesn't have a touch screen, you can use the touch bar on the right side to control your thermostat. Swipe up to raise the temperature, swipe down to lower it, and tap to confirm. The display will show you how many minutes until your desired temperature is reached. Here’s how:
- Tap the touch bar to bring up the menu.
- Swipe up or down to select an option.
- Tap the touch bar again to confirm your selection.

Also, when you manually adjust the temperature, the temperature will stick until the next scheduled temperature change. With a temperature preset, you can easily set a specific temperature that you repeatedly use a bit faster than manually adjusting the temperature dial. Besides using ready-made presets like Comfort, Eco, and Sleep, you can create custom presets. This is helpful for other times you might like a specific temperature that’s not included in your thermostat’s existing presets. Most 24V heating and cooling systems are compatible with the Nest thermostats, and would generally work without a common (C) wire. However, there are some systems that would require a C wire on the new Nest Thermostat like a heat only or cool only systems. And sometimes, you may need to connect a common wire (C wire) or power accessory, like the Nest Power Connector, to make your system compatible. Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us. We´re sorry to hear of the Wi-Fi disconnection and power issues you are experiencing with your Nest Thermostat.

Low battery and no power issues may occur when the heating and cooling wires for your system can't deliver enough power to keep the Nest Thermostat charged up. As a result it starts draining the batteries and disconnects from your Wi-Fi. And sometimes, the Wi-Fi connectivity can also cause the battery to drain as it can't charge up at the same time it consumes power. Installing a common (C) wire between your HVAC system and Nest Thermostat can help resolve the Wi-Fi disconnection and power problems. We recommend contacting a Nest pro technician to check if your HVAC system might already have a common wire installed, and install one if needed. Thank you for your feedback. While the new Nest Thermostat doesn't have a touch screen, It is still possible to directly control your new Nest Thermostat by using the touch bar on the right side of the thermostat.
