Perfect For My Home

There are labels to tag each wire with so you do have to pay attention to your previous wiring. Other than that, the installation was very easy. There is also a level built into the mounting bracket which allows you to make sure that the thermostat is mounted straight.
I would recommend this to a friendOK but with caveats.

I ended up spending $1K to have a heating contractor re-wire before this would work properly.

With this one fully integrated into the Google Home app, I only have to go to one app for all my smart appliances. A very stylish look and it operates well.

The associated app is not at all intuitive though and makes simple things like setting schedules difficult to achieve. It's also not at all clear what is meant by the "leaf" icons that appear sometimes

You can customize your preset schedule based on your preferences. Here’s are the steps on how you can set a schedule using the app:
To check your existing schedule:
- Go to Google Home App>Settings>Schedules>Clear schedule
- Create your temperature presets - go to temperature preference>temperature presets>create customer
- Create a new schedule - Settings>Schedules>Add>Select temperature>select start time>Add to event>done
The Nest Leaf icon appears on your thermostat and in your app to tell you when your thermostat is set to an energy-saving temperature. For more information, please check out this link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9244106

Great Unit already saving me $$$

Was originally worried about not having a C wire but this was no issue. The mirror face looks great in the room and adds a nice touch to the room. Has been great letting me know when my furnace isn't working properly and also love to be able to change the temperature from anywhere.

It does require some getting used to as most of the settings are done on the app and not on the unit itself. But best money spent versus a regular thermostat from Home Depot or Lowe’s.

I bought different brand before and room temperature displayed room was moving too fast up and down, making the a/c unit going on and off too often. I don’t have that problem since I replaced thermostat with this Nest Smart Google unit. Happy customer

I like the fact that it provides all the needed information succinctly and in a manner which is easy to see and comprehend. Overall very happy with it... and it is pretty cool looking

It doesn't have the learning of the more advanced model. I've had those in another house and we ended up overwriting the "smart" program anyway. I did have an issue with my network but it went away when I upgraded my router tech.
