Great thermostat!

I’m able to use the app and control the temperature of my home when I’m away and you can also program it to specific settings.
I would recommend this to a friendGoogle needs to fix connectivity issues.

Worth it with energy company rebate

Fantastic integration with Google Home and super convenient to have my thermostat automatically adjust to save power when I'm not home, and also to be able to control it with a voice assistant.

This is no exception. Google nest video doorbell died within a few months. Google nest temperature sensor died after a year. This thermostat needed to have a power module sent to me by google (they offer it free because they know they screwed up on the design). Finally got that figured out no thanks to their terrible installation instructions (ended up watching video on y-tube to get it right). Wifi function worked for about a month. Now no matter what i try it reduses to connect to the wifi. The app is useless, their tech support online and in app is a joke. Save your money and buy an Ecobee.

Before this thermostat I just had a normal thermostat where you couldn't schedule when it would operate. It has significantly reduced my heating and cooling bills

Must download and use Google Home app. Had several G-mail accounts. If I did not yet have one, would have been a hassle.

Though the Nest Thermostat doesn't have a touch screen, you can use the touch bar on the right side to control your thermostat. You can swipe up to raise the temperature, swipe down to lower it, and tap to confirm. The display will show you how many minutes until your desired temperature is reached.
- Tap the touch bar to bring up the menu.
- Swipe up or down to select an option.
- Tap the touch bar again to confirm your selection.

Installation issues

You have to be careful during the installation when touching the low voltage wires. It can cause your AC to blow a fuse. You need to completely unplug your AC before installing.

And cost also reduced after my purchase the same open box excellent condition, one more New also reduced price with trim kit included. comparatively new is best.

It is difficult to initially set up and was finicky without the app. Also if your initial spot is lower on the wall, you will see the LED illumination lights for the screen.
