Great thermostat

Set up was easy as well as the install. Device is very easy to use but I do have one complaint. Sometimes the rotuines do not work in the google home app. That is more a fault with google and not the device its self but it causes some minor inconviences.

The starters and actions available for a Routine depend on the type of Routine, connected devices, settings, and other limitations. Not all devices can be used as starters so make sure you add the device to the home you want to create a Routine for. And please note that you can only use some devices as a starter. Make sure you add the device to the home you're creating a Routine for.
Also, Routines are only available in select regions and languages. To use Routines in a supported region, switch your phone's default language to a supported language in that region. On most phones, you can change the language in the phone's Settings app. For more detailed instructions, check with your phone's manufacturer. My previous thermostat would allow me to either turn the fan completely off or have the fan on auto. This thermostat has no option for the fan to run on auto. It's supposed to also have an option to turn the fan off completely and run it intermittently, but even though I've followed the instruction in doing this, it still runs constantly. Since it's running all the time, my electric bill has gone up so high. It was an open box purchase, but it was labeled as "EXECELLENT CONDITION". These open box items should have a longer return time frame because in my case, I was not aware that there was a problem and a defect until I could have my AC contractor verify this.

We feel better knowing how our heat and AC are performing when we are not home.

I had exist gadgets connected to Google Home so I had no difficulty setting it up. I get to change the temperature from my bed!

Posted .Nest Thermostat is able to be set to Heat, Cool, Heat /Cool, or Eco mode — here’s how:
1. Tap the touch bar to access the Menu.
2. Slide your finger to Temperature mode, then tap to select.
3. Slide your finger to the mode you want, then tap to set it.

Nest Thermostat works with most 24V heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and heat pumps with either forced air or radiant delivery that has a maximum of 6 wires.

Since the Nest Thermostat doesn't have a touch screen, you can use the touch bar on the right side to control your thermostat. Swipe up to raise the temperature, swipe down to lower it, and tap to confirm. The display will show you how many minutes until your desired temperature is reached. Here’s how:
- Tap the touch bar to bring up the menu.
- Swipe up or down to select an option.
- Tap the touch bar again to confirm your selection.
Also, the thermostat must be set to Heat, Cool, or Heat • Cool mode to change its temperature. To change the mode, tap Temperature mode Heat Cool mode and select the one you want. Then you can manually adjust the temperature two different ways:
- Tap and drag the dial clockwise or counter-clockwise to increase or decrease the temperature
- Tap + or – to increase or decrease the temperature 1° at a time.

The scheduling is easy to configure and works well. It’s awesome to be able to override when remote and access the thermostat. It’s a great looking item too
