I love my smart thermostat. I bought the back plate to hid the space where the other had been panted around. It looks sheet and modern. It only lights up if your directly in front of it and I have it set on a schedule but can also manage from my mobile so I don’t often even to touch it. Additionally I get a yearly seasonal savings promotion through my energy company just for having it.

The instructions that are given electronically are excellent. Anybody can install this thermostat. I do find setting it and programming it to be a little frustrating. The menu is not so easy to get through.

Easy to install and looks great woth the Thermostat

The trim kit worked perfectly for installation of the Nest thermostat. There was a fairly large area behind the original thermostat that was damaged and needed to be refinished or covered before installing the Nest. The trim kit was an easy solution to cover the damaged area.

I thought that when getting this it will be as an extra precaution and that probably I will end up returning it. I was wrong. This item is an amazing add-on, specially when needed to cover the markings made by the previous controller.

It is what it is. Hides the ugliness behind your nest. Wish it was included with the purchase of Nest. Or at least offer different shapes!

I definitely needed this when I replaced my old thermostat. It covered the old area and looks sharp. I recommend this plate if you have an old school thermostat.

My previous Thermostat was bigger than my new Google Thermostat, so I was thinking about having the wall repaired to cover the previous hole, but this trim did the job nice and easy.
