    Big Upgrade

Upgraded from an Eero mesh router that was less than two years old. My speed tripled and a I am now able to realize what I am paying for from my ISP. Setup is very easy although I think their old app that I used with a previous system was easier to navigate and more intuitive. I also have several devices like a Traeger grill that would not connect to Eero. No problem with Nest.

Typically set up on this would be fairly simply, but I had a consistent error when trying to setup the second access point. It would say connection failure everytime I tried. After many hours of troubleshooting and searching Google, I found the solution. If you are setting up the second access point, and having connection issues, plug your second point in near your main router and connect them via ethernet (plug the ethernet into the one with the globe logo on the second access point). Try setup again and this should fix the problem. Apparently this is an iOS issue, that just hasnt veen fixed yet.

This gave me better speed than the orignal 2016 Google WIFi it replaced, but the range wasn’t as good and the speed was less than expexted. My router from my ISP gets around 800 mbps down but i got about half that with this. I had much better results with a different WiFi 6e mesh router. On the plus side, the unit looks nice, it has a simple ser up, and you don’t need to download a new app if you already use Google home.

Despite the small sq footage of my apartment, the layout makes it difficult to get a strong signal to all of my devices. Especially with two PC games running simultaneously, multiple WiFi security cameras, smart thermostats, and various other connected devices, these have greatly improved the speeds of my network overall. I used 5 around various parts of the house to replace the single access point provided by my ISP. I am now able to achieve gigabit speeds with no dead zones anywhere, and the setup is super simple with the Google Home app. It guides you through adding each device, and allows you to test the speed and mesh connection directly through the app. In addition, you can add all the members of your household, so that everyone has access without having to share an account. The ability to set up a guest network with a separate SSID and password may also be convenient to some. Each device also has the ability to hardwire into the access point, which I have found makes for a more reliable and slightly faster connection, though increases in speed doing so may vary depending on your wireless card.

The google nest Wi-fi Pro works good. I like it because it provides good coverage through out my home and it was easy to set up. I also have the google nest learning thermostat and they work well together. I plan to add other google devices soon.

Excellent, stable, coverage. Once set up, it doesn't need to be touched. Remote control from the app is a benefit as you can control and monitor while away from the network. Installation could be initially challenging to those who are unfamiliar, first-time users. There are YouTube videos that can help if that is the case.

Simple to set up and much needed to extend range in basement. Now have a total of 4 extenders throughout the house. Can get pricy, but it’s comparable to other brands. If you’re already in the Google Home ecosystem, you’ll want this.

I had yhe old google nest mesh wifi, so glad I upgraded! Super easy set up and our range is so much further than before. I also like that the points don't have to be as close to eachother like the old nest points were.

Coming from a nighthawk router, completely different experience with this google mesh. So much easier to setup and handle all the connected devices. Including Homepod, which they weren’t working great on nighthawk. Great range on wifi, my house is about 2400 sqft. I moved two of the three mesh Point in rooms with ethernet and hardwired and definitely gave it a big boost, not that it needed it.

I replaced my router with the Google-Nest Wifi Mesh router set of 3 and now have much higher download speed in every room in our house. Download speed was around 80 Mega bits / second in one of the rooms depending on the time of day. Now its around 400 Mb/s. In pool room, its sometimes up to 600 Mb/s. All 3 routers were easy to set up using the Google home app.

Replaced my previous google wifi oucks with these since we recently transitioned to 1g fiber. These are easy to set up but keep in mind i do not use these as a wirless mesh system since i have had issues previously with getting the aoeeds i wanted out of my previous set up. I use these as wired back haul and get wifi speeds and both sides of my house at 800+up and down consistently. Turning off yhe wirelss on my ISP router, i use ethernet cables and two unmanaged switches to hard wire the wifi point producing the high speed wifi connections. Obly think lacking is the ports for some users. For me these are great and do the job as simple as possible.

Excellent product. Really solved my range problem and speed is over 400 MBPS for a 500 MBPS connection. Easy to hide and so many devices can be connected now, no problem with my kids devices and helps with their School homework without connection dropping. I thank the engineers who created this product.

Having switched from Nest's previous generation mesh wifi system I first thought this would be easy. Well some parts were but i had to manually reset and reprogram my home security system which is also Nest products which I thought this could be an easy programmable fix that updates all Google products to the new network. The signal strength seems like it is working better, which is the primary factor of my decision to buy the updated version but I still feel like devices are struggling to connect in my home but I made some changes to see if that works out.oh and the fact that I lose out on the speaker from the previous generation is almost enough to give this product a 3 star rating but I'll leave that bias in the comments bc you might not be transitioning from the same product as me.
