But if you’re willing to try, it may be helpful to check the placement of the camera as connectivity and performance can be affected by range issues or wireless interference. Although the device can sometimes pass the connection test, it will struggle to stay connected if it's too far away from your router or if your connection is spotty. We also recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested, which happens if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Removing other connected devices to your Wi-Fi may relieve network congestion. You may need to extend your Wi-Fi network’s range using boosters or additional Wi-Fi access points if your camera is located too far from your Wi-Fi router.

If you're willing to try, we recommend checking if your Nest Wifi Pro has the latest firmware version by simply going to the Google Home app and following the steps below:
- Open the Google Home app.
- Touch and hold your Nest Wifi Pro device's tile.
- Tap Settings > and then Device information.
- Under "Technical information," check for the firmware version.
- The firmware version should be 1.63.324946 or higher.

Google Nest devices are designed to update by itself and your device should automatically download the update via an Over-the-Air (OTA). However, if the firmware version is older or has a lower version than the one above, we recommend removing some of the connected devices in your network to free up some bandwidth space. Your Nest Wifi Pro should be updated after sometime.

If the issue is persistent, you may also try resetting Nest Wifi Pro. Keep in mind that this will erase all data and you may need to set it up again. After you factory reset a device, you'll have to set up your router and point(s) again. We wanted to make the Google Home app as the one place you can control all your favorite Nest and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant, including some of the benefits you can get below:

- Your Google Nest devices and services will work together.
- One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps.
- Your homes and home members will be aligned across the Nest and Google Home apps.

Nest Wifi Pro (Wi-Fi 6E) can't be combined with Nest Wifi or Google Wifi (Wi-Fi 5) in a mesh network since it uses a third frequency band which previous generations of our Wifi device do not support. 1. Your device is far from your Wifi router — Often, moving your device closer to your router or point will result in improved speeds.
2. Building materials and other objects may slow your connection — If possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router or point.
3. Some devices do not support the faster Wi-Fi standards — Speed is dependent on both the router or point and the device that is connected to it. If you have an older device, it’s likely it won’t support the latest standards for the fastest speeds.

- Check your configuration. In most cases, you don't need to change your network configurations because Google Nest Wifi devices use DHCP, a common internet connection protocol, by default. However, you might need to adjust the WAN settings in the Google Home app. If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) requires a different protocol than DHCP like PPPoE or uses Static IPs, then you may need to contact them.
