WORSE PROBLEMS THAN BEFORE INSTALLATION
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.installed this 2 days ago. My wifi coverage is constantly going out. I've reset, unplugged, reset my main modem. I am about to lose my mind over struggling with internet in my home. I thought this was the fix, expensive too.

Posted .Hey there, LuLuBelle, we understand your concern about not having a more consistent connection. We’d be glad to offer some solutions to help ensure your device is performing at its best:
1. Your device is far from your Wifi router — Often, moving your device closer to your router or point will result in improved speeds.
2. Building materials and other objects may slow your connection — If possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router or point.
3. Some devices do not support the faster Wi-Fi standards — Speed is dependent on both the router or point and the device that is connected to it. If you have an older device, it’s likely it won’t support the latest standards for the fastest speeds.

DO NOT BUY - OVEHEATS
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY. Its a trash product. After a month the routers would constantly drop the WiFi connection. Tried all kinds of recommended troubleshooting and nothing worked because the systems themselves were overheating and shutting off. Can't return it to the store because they have a 14 day return period and I'm still going back and forth with Google support to get some sort of refund, it has been several months.

Posted .Hello there, Nate. Thank you for your review and bringing this important information to our attention. We understand your surprise about the Nest Wifi Pro requiring two outlets per room if you want both speaker functionality and mesh networking. We apologize that the dual-outlet requirement wasn't readily apparent during your purchase. While the product information does mention the need for a power source for each unit, we recognize the inconvenience of having two outlets occupied for both the speaker and mesh functionality. If you have question and other concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our dedicated team of specialists on our Google Help Center page: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wnated to warn other customers cosnideting this set up. I was an early adopter and bought the 3 pack as soon as it came out. I thought it to be an upgrade from the Google Wifi i had; not so. The system is hooked up to a 500 Mbps line, but over time its performance has gradually degraded. After a year, i feel like theres no good opitons. Google support is a FB Messenger or Twitter chat.

Absolute Garbage!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited about trying the new Nest Wifi Pro. The installation was horrendous. This was by far the worst install I’ve ever had for a router and I’m a technical person by trade. It also has weak connections that other mesh products didn’t. I would recommend another mesh system if you are looking for consistency and stability.

Posted .Hi Techman96, thanks for sharing your experience with using the Nest Wifi Pro. We can imagine how excited you were to try it, but we regret to hear it’s a disappointment for you.
We suggest trying the simple steps to see if the consistency and stability will improve:
- Move the connected device closer to your Wifi router or point.
- Repositioning the points to avoid obstructions like walls, doors, and aquariums can improve performance.
- Make sure all unused devices are off and not draining bandwidth with large downloads.
- Check for possible sources of interference such as microwave ovens, refrigerators or other equipment.
- Run a mesh test to confirm placement of your Wifi points.
Your feedback counts, as we’re always looking for ways to improve our products and services. And if further assistance is needed, you’ll find us ready to help you here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Pro-level WiFi indeed but some wired oversights.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing you'll notice about the Nest Pro is the striking design - it's not often that you can say about a router that it's beautiful (in fact, I've been fiddling with networking gear for nearly 30 years and I don't think I've EVER said that) but this one really is. The design really lends itself to being placed in a very visible location (or at least not hidden) which is a big plus for coverage as usually the best places for coverage are the most visible. Setup is easy, particularly if you're already in the Google and/or Nest ecosystem as then you likely already have the Home app installed which can get you up and running easily. Once you are up and running, it's basically set and forget - and you'll get good coverage and good speed (based on your internet speed) without fiddling with it. And that's with one, two or three units! From a WiFi perspective, this is definitely future-proof with a tri-band design that adds in WiFi 6E / 6ghz and all the speed you can handle. It can also handle up to 100 devices per unit which makes it easily ready for IOT and home automation (as does the Matter and Thread support built-in). So why only 4 stars then instead of 5? Well, it's actually for 2 things on the WIRED side - not the wireless. First, and most basic - with all that WiFi bandwidth, you'd think this is perfect for some of the new multi-gig fiber internet plans (I have a 2gbps fiber connection to my house with the option to go to 5gbps on the same connection by just paying more). BUT it's not - the problem is that to get multi-gig internet over WiFi, you need to be able to connect the ISP modem to the router. And so there's a multi-gig internet port on my fiber modem and I can connect an ethernet cable to it and get 2 gbps. But the ethernet INPUT port on the Nest Pro only supports 1 gig internet. So no matter how fast the WiFi is on the end device and on the Nest Pro, I'll only get a 1 gig max because that wired port is gigabit not multi-gig. That's a big oversight from my side. The other oversight is that many "pros" would want at least a few wired devices. The Nest Pro can't really support that with only one wired/ethernet port. So you'd need to connect it to a switch of some sort to add more ports. And that single ethernet LAN port? Yeah, it's gigabit, so even if you have multi-gig internet or multi-gig WiFi connections, any wired LAN clients will only be gigabit. So there you have it - a great, beautiful piece of WiFi kit with super fast and super strong WiFi (*subject to your internet service provider / plan / subscription) but let down by the puzzling wired connection limitations.

Posted .Hello there, Guess. Thank you for sharing your concern with us. We apologize for the weak signal issue you're experiencing with your Nest Wifi Pro and the difficulty you're facing with the Google Home app.
Wi-Fi signal strength with your Nest Wifi Pro may be affected by various factors, including Wi-Fi interference and physical barriers, which can limit the range and cause a slower connection to the internet. We recommend placing your Nest Wifi Pro routers within a line of sight to improve signal reception. As a general rule, mesh routers work best when they're about 2 to 3 rooms apart. For example, if the far end of your house has weak Wi-Fi, it's advisable not to place a mesh router in that exact spot. Instead, position it halfway in that direction. Placing it in an elevated position, such as on a shelf, can also help. Additionally, adding one or more Nest Wifi Pro routers can improve Wi-Fi coverage in your home. For more detailed information, please refer to this help guide: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7182840.
Furthermore, here are some recommended steps to address the issue with the Google Home app:
- Ensure that your mobile phone, where the Home app is installed, is connected to your Wi-Fi network or has mobile data enabled.
- Try installing the Home app on another mobile phone or tablet device and log in using the same Google account as your Nest Wifi Pro.
If the issue persists, we recommend contacting our support team for further assistance. You can reach out to them by visiting this link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Posted .Hi there, Thegoldie. Thank you for sharing your review of Nest Wifi Pro. We apologize that it didn't meet your expectations.
The combined speeds mentioned are the total speeds across all bands, and they are derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications based on the use of Wi-Fi 6 or later generation connected devices that support 160 MHz channels. Actual speeds can vary depending on factors such as your internet service provider, network conditions, connected devices, local regulations, and environmental factors.
