Wonderful Improvement in Internet Connection

With the Nest, it is almost as good as the rest of the house. Very easy to set up with phone app.

A BIG MISTAKE!

Unfortunately it was difficult to uninstall the nest 5 and replace it with the nest 6e. It took multiple attempts over 5 hours. My connection speed is not much better than the speed of nest 5. In addition, I am suffering lose of connection which did not occur with the nest 5 installed in the same location. It is very sensitive to anything placed around it. It was a BIG mistake on my part. Avoid this product!

Posted .Hey there, MichaelS. Sorry to see the Nest Wifi Pro wasn’t quite the upgrade you expected. There could be a few things impacting your connection — here are some ways to improve this:
1. Your device is far from your router: often moving your device closer to your router or point will result in improved speeds.
2. Building materials and other objects may slow your connection: if possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router or point.
3. Some devices do not support the faster Wi-Fi standards: speed is dependent on both the router or point and the device that is connected to it. If you have an older device, it’s likely it won’t support the latest standards for the fastest speeds.

The Nest Wifi Pro includes an Ethernet port and for optimal performance, we advise using at least a CAT5e-rated Ethernet cable for the connection. Good product but avoid buying open box

Best Buy quality control on the other hand is very disappointing. I bought the Open Box package and the box arrived with no ethernet cable. I was able to borrow some ethernet wires from my neighbor to set things up and the Nest Pro is providing me excellent coverage through out the house. The setup was intuitive, although I wish there was a way to set it up via the web browser as well. However, when I reached the Best Buy customer support to send me the missing wires, they told me to pack up the items and bring to a store; that is just flat out silly and would cause me a bunch of down time so I decided to buy the wires from monoprice. I wish Best Buy would simply ship me the missing parts instead of making me go through the process of undoing my setup and taking to the store.

Fast mech system to support gigabit speed

I upgraded my internet from cable to fiber and my old nest wifi 5 mesh system couldn't support the gigabit speed even with the ethernet backhaul. So i upgraded to this Nest wifi 6e Pro. Now I get around 700 mbps, (with cat 5e ethernet backhaul) if I am line of sight with one oft he point or main router, which is more than enough for me. it's been more than a month and absolutely no glitches whatsoever. Nobody in the house is complaining about speed now. it was well worth the money.

Better overall coverage, the Wi-Fi six backhaul makes the overall performance much better. I’m even getting coverage out on my patio, which I never had before.

What I didnt expect was the increase in speed over the ATT gateway. Signal is great and now I have coverage all around my pool and pool house. Very satisfied

It provides good coverage of our home. However, I am not sure if it's the mesh system that causes a lot of issue with our wi-fi. We had the Google mesh system before purchasing this one and it worked very well. I am still trying to figure out if the issue my wi-fi or the mesh. Also, I had to purchase a new printer because the new mesh doesn't connect to the old printer.

Posted .Hey there, GeorgeT. We appreciate your feedback on Nest Wifi Pro. Nest Wifi Pro (Wi-Fi 6E) can't be combined with Nest Wifi or Google Wifi (Wi-Fi 5) in a mesh network. It uses the 6 GHz band to form its mesh network, while earlier generation products such as Nest Wifi and Google Wifi use only the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for mesh connections.
