I gave them time too get smarter like the advertising implied they could do. The Google nest wifi 6e pro units just don't perform any where near up to snuff for me to give any kind of good recommendations. They suffer when trying to maintain multiple devices, they suffer trying to maintain even sub par streaming speeds, (for ex. I get 1200 Mbps yet these units on most occasions give me about 400 Mbps, that's just awful) As for distance, forget about it. I occupy a 3 bedroom double wide and an considering a 3rd one just to get complete coverage from 1 end to the other. You might ask why I would consider purchasing another one, because these units aren't cheap and not only do they not play well with others, they just don't play with others. The idea of these units is a dream that sounds wonderful, the reality, save yourself some money and heart break and pick a different set. I don't write a lot of reviews so when I do it's because what I have to say should be heard. No one is paying for my review, I'm a diy'er that wants to help you spend the little ends you've got smartly which isn't here.

1. Your device is far from your Wifi router: often moving your device closer to your router or point will result in improved speeds.
2. Building materials and other objects may slow your connection: if possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router or point.
3. Some devices do not support the faster Wi-Fi standards: speed is dependent on both the router or point and the device that is connected to it. If you have an older device, it’s likely it won’t support the latest standards for the fastest speeds.

Fixed my WiFi issues in my house

Before getting these my WiFi was really spotty in my house and borderline unusable in areas, and it also would drop the connection sometimes which made stuff like video conferences basically impossible. These fixed the issue, and I now get 300-400 mbps at least, and the connection is reliable. Fixing any issues that do come up isn’t very hard either because the Google Home app is pretty good.

We routinely have 30+ devices connected (family of 3, smart home IoT). Coverage has been strong throughout the house. I work from home, I love the look and the efficiency. No nightmare scenario here.

When looking for a home system to replace our Nighthawk, we kept getting pushed back to the Google ecosystem due to our home being mostly Google smart home products. Ultimately we made this purchase and we have not had a single issue like we were having for with our Netgear router. Having control of the system through the Google home app is a plus, and for those worried about setting this up, it is a breeze. We are consistently getting 600-700mbps speeds on a 500mb plan.

I was getting a weak connection upstairs with my old WiFi. So, I did some research online, then went in to Best Buy and a blue shirt guy helped me decide on this one. Total Tech came and set it up for me (not sure I would have been able to hook it up on my own). I have one plugged in downstairs at the cable modem, and one plugged in upstairs in my home office. Now I'm getting the strong, secure WiFi connection I need. These look really nice, too.

Speeds will be similar if you are connecting 1 to the modem router and others as wifi points. On the downside no Google home speakers in any of the points. wifi 6e speeds are better but depends on if one can really take advantage of same.

Removing the Google Assistant speaker allows us to expand our reach and offer Nest Wifi Pro at a more affordable price point.
The placement of your Wi-Fi router and points is vital to have reliable Wi-Fi throughout your home. As a general rule, points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other. For example, if the far end of your house has weak Wi-Fi, don’t put a Wifi point in that exact spot. Instead, put it part way in that direction. Try to place it in an elevated position like on a shelf.
You can also try these steps below that may help:
- Move the connected device closer to your Wifi router or point.
- Repositioning the points to avoid obstructions like walls, doors, and aquariums can improve performance.
- Make sure all unused devices are off and not draining bandwidth with large downloads.
- Check for possible sources of interference such as microwave ovens, refrigerators or other equipment.
- Run a mesh test to confirm placement of your Wifi points.
