Busy: About 1 month battery life (About 25 - 30 recorded events per day)
Typical: About 2.5 months battery life (About 13 - 16 recorded events per day)
Quiet: About 6 months battery life (about 2 - 5 recorded events per day)

It has a 145 degree field of view and 3:4 video aspect ratio to provide a comprehensive view of your doorstep, capturing both height and width. Regarding video quality, here’s a few tips to make sure you’re device is set up optimally:

1. Open the Home app.
2. Tap and hold your device's tile.
3. At the top right, tap Settings.
4. Choose Video.
5. Under “Video quality,” choose Max or High.

- One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps.
- Consistent alignment of your homes and home members across the Nest and Google Home apps.

While the new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app, users with previous versions of Nest cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams.

Removing some of your connected devices can help free up some bandwidth space. Once you confirm the presence of congestion, we recommend contacting your Internet Service Provider to check your connection and upgrade it if needed.

We also recommend checking for possible sources of interference such as the thick walls and appliances in your home. Moving or adjusting your router where it can get better signal transmission to your Nest Doorbell (Battery) can be helpful with the issue. We recommend adjusting the video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events and using Activity Zones to monitor specific areas to extend the battery life of your Nest Doorbell. If you still have to charge the battery more often than you'd like, connect your doorbell to a power socket with the included or optional power adapter. Your doorbell always uses battery power. The power from the outlet gradually charges your doorbell's battery, so you won't have to manually charge it as often.
