Worth the price for safety

Service is free; however, nest aware (longer record history) cost money. I did my research and was fine with that, just be aware. One way to get around that is to not swipe the notification immediately, past 3 hours, you can't view the recording but you can still see it in the notifications. Helpful if it happened in the middle of the night.

Walked right up to it and never got a notification of the camera seeing anyone. I’m watching the battery drain too. it’s lost 3% in a matter of hours.

Battery life will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and camera settings that you select. You can extend the battery life of your camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Also, if you’re not getting alerts from Nest:
- Make sure that your devices are online.
- Check notifications settings in the Nest app and the Home app.
- Check your phone isn’t set to block Nest app notifications.

- Make sure your device isn’t in airplane mode and that it has a good cell and Wi-Fi connection.

Complete Piece of Garbage

Avoid this piece of garbage and save yourself the frustration. This piece of trash is getting returned today.

Best buy used some company named "ontrac" or something like that. Marked my package as delivered on a day, a week late, that i spend all day on my couch 15ft from my front door. So this review is of ordering from best buy online.
