It works , but the wired version is way better.

It takes forever to charge. It can fall off easier since you have to take it off to charge. We are currently renting so that is why we went with a battery one. We used to have the wired one when we owned a home and that one is miles apart better than this one. If you can wire one in then go with the other doorbell cam from google.

Easy set up especially with the Google eco system. The notifications aren’t as sensitive as the Ring which is nice and alerts can be broadcasted throughout the home via Google devices.

I have to charge the battery weekly, it’s way bigger than the other Nest doorbell, and it doesn’t even connect to my doorbell wires (I used the recommended wires and connection). I brought this matter to Google customer service and they didn’t really help me. I like the other Nest doorbell more than this one.

Picture quality is good and the camera has a nice range. Its a little on the large side but luckily it blends in well.

The installation was easy enough as well as the set up. The only complaint i have is how often I need to charge it. I live in PA and its approaching winter temperatures slowly. I recently installed it and after 2 days I had to charge it. At 50% battery it says i have 2 days left on it, but I highly doubt it. Overall though it does the job.

During winter, the battery life of Nest Doorbell (Battery) may have less than half the life that it has at temperatures close to -4°F (-20°C). A typical battery life of Nest Doorbell (Battery) will last about 2.5 months (about 13 - 16 recorded events per day). Keep in mind that the battery life may vary since it will still depend on factors including activity, temperature, and selected camera settings.

I use this one mainly for apartments which allows easy access to see and speak to guests through front door even when international. Has face recognition with names, zone setups for alerts and an additional part to mount with an angle to get those hard to view spots in camera view. Also super easy to setup he google home app and get it to setup with minis, outdoor camera, etc. Just remember to charge the battery since it is not wired.
