Buyer should note that battery does not let you have 24/7 recording like the wired ones do.

But if not, truthfully other options out there that do let you save recordings for a longer period with add-on accessories whereas this camera, you’d need the subscription. I don’t need another one in my life but very handy for a security camera and doorbell.

A Google account provides you with the security features not available with simply having a Nest account. You also get the benefits of integrating your Nest devices with Google´s advanced ecosystem using the Google Assistant. Alternatively, the Nest Aware subscription provides you with a lot of value for your money. If you want to go back and view recorded video, you can view snapshots of events up to 3 hours in the past. To view videos saved in the cloud, you need the Nest Aware subscription. There's no fee to stream full resolution live video and receive basic notifications, as long as your camera is connected to the internet. However, you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription to record video and receive advanced notifications. Nest Aware is a paid subscription service you can use with your Nest products to help keep you informed about important events at your home. Also, your Nest camera stores video securely to the Nest cloud so you can access it anytime, anywhere.

I don't love how chunky it is, and I personally find it less attractive than the older model, but it works quite well.

Great doorbell camera

Not as great as the wired version but still good enough that it's worth buying. Haven't had any problems and the battery lasts a decent amount of time before nit needs to be charged again.

It does the job and I can watch everything needed to see who comes to the front door, even animals. Quality is there and I’m pretty sure one charge will last over a month if not more. Totally worth it. I don’t have good wiring for a wired doorbell and this allowed me to save on a electrician. Took me only about 10 mins to install and lost the time it was “where I was placing it” that took the most time. Don’t wait just get it. I never had it on neat so it didn’t bother me, as some people have complained about. Google Home works great for me.

I am currently using it at my apartment.I used a mount from Amazon with it so i didnt need to drill.The quality is good.I used it with my alexa andecho show to be notified when someones at the door.Connecting with Your phone you can see live feed and get notified for whatever you want.A package,person at door ect and the app works great.Keep in mind though you will need a google aware membership its $60 for the year.
