However this has the worst battery life. Battery will be drained to the point the camera shuts off in less that 24 hours by 48 it is completely dead. Takes over 5 hours to charge, and you can’t just swap out batteries. You have to completely remove the doorbell to charge it. I’d recommend buying a different brand.

It does exactly what i want. It has such clear resolution, and had wonderful notification settings. It also has such a long battery life. I have had it working outside for over 3 weeks and it still has 40% battery. I will note its in an apartment complex with high traffic volumes. So i would say its a great battery.

It was like night and day. I originally put my nest by the back door to help monitor my yard but i dont even charge it anymore. Im getting another of these to replace it.

Had some issues with my internet provider and some issues with the item staying connected with my wifi. Once I solved those issues it worked amazingly well. I really enjoyed the nest aware subscription and the ability to create zones so I could save battery life. I had to return it because my HOA doesn’t allow for these and I wasn’t aware of it. I would 100% buy it again!

Minus one star for not working with the nest app, minus second star for not being wirelessly compatible with indoor speaker for chime as the salesman told me it would.

The new Nest Doorbell (battery) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, and Google Assistant.
If you have Google speakers or display, the Nest Doorbell (battery) can do visitor announcements on a Google Assistant-enabled speaker or display. Also, in addition to standard themes or sounds, seasonal doorbell themes are available around some holidays. You can change the theme or set a different chime sound in the app’s doorbell settings, where it automatically goes back after the default tone after the holiday.

Last house had a wired doorbell and cam worked great! New house has no wiring, so i was anxious for this wireless version to be released. When i initially recieved, i was pleased overall with appearance and functionality. However I recently learned it only allows you to view up to 3 hours of history. Whats up with that? So if you are sleeping, and something happens overnight, you are out of luck viewing any footage. We were expecting a service person the other day but they never showed, even though office said they did. I tried to check camera history only to learn i could only see last 3 hours. I really do not understand the 3 hour limitation. And now i have purchased 2 of these with no option to return. Very disappointing!
