Doorbell issues and Home App issues can be related to several reasons. In the event that your doorbell or Google Home app is behaving differently, we can try the steps below that may help:
- Make sure that your phone or tablet is up to date, with the correct Date & Time settings.
- Check if your doorbell and Home app are both online.
- Close other apps running in the background.
- Sign out of the Home app and sign back in.
- Restart your phone or tablet.
- Uninstall the Home app and reinstall it.
- Try an alternate compatible phone or tablet if available.

Meanwhile, we also suggest having the latest version of the Google Home app as it may improve your camera viewing experience, including playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the video history view.
