FYI: this camera doesn’t work with the Nest app or any other Nest cameras. Google bought out Nest and now are making all the old cameras obsolete, even though they’re still HD and work perfectly fine. So if you have Nest cameras, you won’t be able to add this device to that ecosystem, and instead will have to open another app, Google Home, to access your doorbell. Can you add the old Nest Cameras to Google Home? Nope! You’re welcome… innovation at its finest.

Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app, so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place. Also, using the Google Home app provides you with a lot of benefits including access to Google's trusted security platform and access to other Google tools and with seamless integration with other Google devices.

Posted .Hey there, Aure. We’re sorry to hear you’re having to charge the Nest Cam (Battery) so often. The battery life will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and selected camera settings. On average here’s how long the battery will last on a single charge:
Busy - About 1 month battery life (about 25 - 30 recorded events per day)
Typical - About 2.5 months battery life (about 13 - 16 recorded events per day)
Quiet - About 6 months battery life (about 2 - 5 recorded events per day)
Here’s a few tips to conserve battery:
1. Optimize its video quality.
2. Shorten the length of time for which events are recorded.
3. Take longer to begin recording between events.

After reset it will show live feed for a while but then will randomly drop and show feed as unavailable. It still records and notifies for events. Looking like this is a wodespread problem. Going to return and go with another brand asap.
