$180 worthless paperweight

Then, when I removed the doorbell to charge the battery, The key hole seized up. I cannot get it to lock back into the bracket. It falls off. Now the Google Nest Doorbell has become a $180 worthless paperweight.

However, first time we tried to remove unit to recharge battery, the unit fell apart. Best Buy not supporting because under warranty, but can't get Google to respond to warranty email request (3x) and in chat told me best buy would support. so biggest waste of money ever.

Make sure that you have the latest version of the Google Home app that can improve not just the live feed, but also the camera playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the camera history view. Additionally, you may need to check for any range issue or wireless interference that can affect the overall performance of your doorbell. Sometimes the device may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away from your router. Check for objects such as mirrors and refrigerators between the doorbell and your router as these items could block the connection. Doesn't notify iPhone

Very easy to put it by the door or wherever you want to put it. Good picture and video quality. Being able to talk to whoever is at your door is pretty awesome. Lol.

One thing I don’t like is all setup areas for it only to record in those areas, and it still ends up recording people powered in the street when I tell the device not to. I am currently looking for other products to replace this unit that I just got three months ago.  The device will only go back three hours of recording without a subscription, so you’re stuck getting a subscription if you want us to work, but that’s like with most units to expect.
