Avoid this piece of garbage and save yourself the frustration. This piece of trash is getting returned today.

Walked right up to it and never got a notification of the camera seeing anyone. I’m watching the battery drain too. it’s lost 3% in a matter of hours.

You can extend the battery life of your camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. - Make sure that your devices are online.
- Check notifications settings in the Nest app and the Home app.

- Make sure your device isn’t in airplane mode and that it has a good cell and Wi-Fi connection.

Best buy used some company named "ontrac" or something like that. Marked my package as delivered on a day, a week late, that i spend all day on my couch 15ft from my front door. So this review is of ordering from best buy online.

Google won’t let you. Ring cameras on the other hand don’t limit you in that area. Dashboard is horrible. Not user friendly- takes multiple menus to change things you want. So many Reddit threads have complained about that Google almost intentionally not supporting their Nest camera products near as well as other consumer products they sell.

Posted .Hello there, Austin. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with the Nest Doorbell (battery) didn’t meet your expectations. A chime is not included with every purchase of Nest doorbells. Thankfully, you can connect a Google speaker or display and set up visitor announcements to get notified when someone rings your doorbell when you’re home. You'll only get visitor announcements on your speakers and displays if they are set up in the same home as your doorbell in the Home app. Also, if you have Alexa, Google offers a Smart Home skill for integrating your Nest doorbell with Amazon's Alexa home control. Alexa can announce when someone presses the doorbell or when the doorbell detects motion or events. Visit the Google Nest Help Center to learn about how to control the Nest devices with Amazon Alexa.
