One thing I don’t like is all setup areas for it only to record in those areas, and it still ends up recording people powered in the street when I tell the device not to. I am currently looking for other products to replace this unit that I just got three months ago.  The device will only go back three hours of recording without a subscription, so you’re stuck getting a subscription if you want us to work, but that’s like with most units to expect.

Doesn't work at below 4 degrees, so if you're in a colder climate... in mn, so it works great in the summer. Winter, died... wont reset, will try another manufacturer. Support suuuuuucked!!

We’re sorry to hear it stopped working after a year, and that we’ve fallen short on your support needs. Meanwhile, if you’ve connected your Nest Doorbell (battery) to your existing doorbell wiring, the wires don’t directly power the doorbell. Instead, the battery is trickle charged by the power that comes through the wires, and the doorbell runs off the battery charge. At temperatures between -4°F (-20°C) and 32°F (0°C), the doorbell can continue to work, but the battery will drain because it can’t be charged. If the battery drains completely, the doorbell will shut down, and you’ll need to bring it inside to be charged. So if the temperature is below 32°F (0°C) and the battery is low, bring it inside to a warm place, preferably at room temperature. The battery can start to charge slowly once its temperature rises past 32°F (0°C). It will charge faster when it warms up.

Users can extend the battery life of their camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Here are some typical scenarios:
Busy: About 1 month battery life (About 25 - 30 recorded events per day)
Typical: About 2.5 months battery life (About 13 - 16 recorded events per day)
Quiet: About 6 months battery life (about 2 - 5 recorded events per day)
