    I enjoy the ability to have a doorbell that is wireless. It does not connect as well with the google devices as advertised

    I would give it 5 stars but you have to charge this every two weeks. Soooooo annoying

      Your Nest doorbell could be detecting a lot of activities, as the battery life will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and camera settings that you select. The battery life can be extended by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas.

      If you have to charge the battery more often than you should, you may consider connecting your camera or doorbell to a power outlet with the included or optional power adapter. The power adapter included with the Nest Doorbell (battery) is not weatherproof and not intended for outdoor use. You can also connect your Nest doorbell to the doorbell system wires if you have one. Connecting to continuous power will keep the battery charged.

      Even if your home’s internet connection is good enough to stream Nest doorbell video, you may have difficulty watching the stream if your phone has a poor cellular or Wi-Fi connection. In addition, a range issue or wireless interference can affect the performance of your doorbell. Sometimes it may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected. Also, your doorbell may be out of range and can become disconnected due to a weak signal. Wireless interference can give you trouble connecting Nest products or other wireless devices. It can also cause slow network communications or intermittent disconnections. So your Nest products might continuously disconnect and reconnect, or they may be slow to respond to app control.     NO DOORBELL CHIME AVAILABLE FOR DOORBELL BATTERY VERSION. i HAD TO BUY A RING DOORBELL WHICH OFFERS A WI-FI PLUG IN CHIME.

      Nest has long been focused on delivering quality products to our customers. We’re also focused on giving our customers value for the price, including three hours of event history right out of the box for the first time ever. On-device processing also gives our customers smart alerts and Activity Zones, which historically have required a subscription. Please note that Nest Doorbell (battery), even when wired for continuous charging, does not offer 10 days of 24/7 video history with Nest Aware Plus, but your doorbell should still have event video history which will be deleted on a rolling basis after a certain number of days depending on which Nest Aware subscription that you have.     Think twice before you buy

    Records only when it senses motion. Problem is, it doesn't always catch the motion untill it's too late. For example, if someone walks into my drive way, the camera will trigger on when the person is already at my front door. It will not show where they came from, what vehicle they came out of or which side of the house they appeared. There is a HUGE delay from when it senses motion and the camera turns on and actually records. Defeats the purpose of having a camera. Your seeing the danger too late. Wast of my money. Also, only allows 3 hour of recording history to be saved which is terrible considering youll be paying a monthly membership for it.

      The wake-up sensitivity of the camera/doorbell can be adjusted, so it can decide when to wake up and start recording. If the wake-up sensitivity is low. If the wake-up sensitivity is low:
      - It decreases the range at which the camera can sense activity.
      - It increases the amount of time it takes for the camera to wake up once it senses activity.

      Here's how to adjust the wake-up sensitivity in your camera settings:
      - Open the Home app.
      - Touch and hold your device's tile.
      - Tap Settings > Video > Wake-up sensitivity.
      - Choose the High setting.

      Also, Nest has long been focused on delivering quality products to our customers.     The battery consume with in two days and more than ten hours of charging. I exchange the door bell twice same problem. No good if u not willing take the headache every less than two days off from the mount with small key and put it back on.camera display is good good for delivery package

      Nest Doorbell (battery) is designed for the outdoors with the temperature range of –4°F to 104°F. Battery life will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and camera settings that you select. You can extend the battery life of your camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Here are some typical scenarios:
      - Busy - About 1.5 months battery life (about 20 - 25 recorded events per day)
      - Typical - About 3 months battery life (about 9 - 12 recorded events per day)
      - Quiet - About 7 months battery life (about 2 - 4 recorded events per day)

      If you’re willing to try, we recommend checking the frequency of events (per day) that you get with your Nest Cam (Battery).     This doorbell couldn’t capture all events. I have both this doorbell and another wyze v3 facing the front of my house. The cheap 35 dollar Wyze cam v3 can capture all the people walking by but this 150 dollor doorbell miss half of those events. Considering its price, it should work better than this. Very disappointed at this product.

    I’m really not sure what google was thinking. I really like the design and size but other than that i am not impressed… i own 4 of the 1st gen nest doorbells and have been very pleased with the durability, quality, and features, but this is a major downgrade. I would not recommend this product, at all.

    Poorly designed locking mechanism

    Locking mechanism that secures the doorbell on the mounted plate has failed after one year and four months, poor design. Small flimsy plastic thing that get's stuck. Google support wasn't helpful, No repair options available.

    The life of the battery would only last about 18 hours is supposed to last a whole year. They said because I had a high traffic area. Well, what's the point of having a battery-powered camara that only lasted 18 hours. Not worth the money folks.

      Your camera or doorbell might disconnect when it’s slightly out of range of your Wi-Fi. It can also disconnect due to wireless interference from large furniture and appliances, walls and floors, and other electronics. If possible, move your Wi-Fi router closer to your doorbell, and move objects near your doorbell or router that might cause wireless interference.

    This has to be one of the worst systems out there for customer support. My system crashed and I got a few of the 20 Google items i purchased for my house and there is ZERO support for this system. ZERO. Nothing they have on line follows all the way through and they tell you to call my internet supplier. There is nothing wrong with my internet. The problem is the MESH network. I have one hooked direct to my gateway works as do my four screens but I cannot get anything else to hook up I would have given support a negative star. BEWARE

Meanwhile, if you're experiencing a spotty connection or weak signal, we recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested. This may happen if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Removing other connected devices to your Wi-Fi may relieve network congestion. If your doorbell is mounted too far from your Wi-Fi router, you may need to extend your Wi-Fi network’s range using an extender, boosters or additional Wi-Fi access points. Try restarting your router to reset your internet connection. You should also restart any Wi-Fi range extenders or repeaters that you have.
