    Google acquired Nest and now they are copying Ring. The Google Home app is terrible and the device is overpriced and underwhelming.

    Wait for a later generation... if it lasts.

    Turns itself off and won't come back on unless touched as a doorbell. Then it may stay on, maybe it'll turn off again. I check the camera remotely to be informed "video unavailable." I'm on my network, the same network, trying to turn it on and it won't turn on. I had high hopes for this, but it's a lemon. I've restarted it. Reset it. Sang to it. It simply doesn't do what it's supposed to do.

    Best buy is going downhill

    Bought from Best buy, had boot and connecting issues. Managers at Montgomery AL store were terrible to deal with and didn't want to honor a straight swap for the exact product. Bought from bed bath and beyond after for even cheaper with no issues.

    AVOID - DOES NOT RING ON PHONE

    Does not RING ON YOUR phone, the sole purpose of a doorbell like this (to receive doorbell calls when not home). It only rings INSIDE the house with a smart device or old school chime. And their support is HORRENDOUS! I knew more about the product than the 3 agents I was connected to!

      Although Nest doorbells have sounds that help you know what’s happening (for example, when it restarts), a chime is not included, But when a visitor presses your Nest Doorbell (battery), you can hear an audible alert if you have compatible smart speakers or displays, like Nest Audio or Nest Hub. You can connect a Google speaker or display and set up visitor announcements if you want to get notified when someone rings your doorbell when you’re home. Also, alerts for Google Nest cameras are a bit more complex than for other Nest products since you can choose motion and sound alert settings, and change how and when you’ll get them.     Poor Quality / Short Warranty

    Poor product that stopped functioning completely 5 months after warranty expiration. Short warranty and low quality are a nasty combination. Stay away

      An active subscription of Nest Aware offers a lot of value since it covers your speakers, displays and cameras for a flat monthly rate. It also has new features like sound detection and emergency calling (US only). You can upgrade from a 3-hour event video history to 30 days of event video history with an active Nest Aware subscription, or 60 days of event video history with Nest Aware Plus.

    Died exactly one year after i got it
