If you are initially setting up your internet from scratch you must log in to the internet provider and activate the internet before you plug in the ethernet cable from the modem to the Google Nest Wi-Fi for your Google home app to pickup the wi-fi signal to initiate the set up.

I purchased a nest wifi router in 2021 to "upgrade" my existing Google Wifi system. Big Mistake. It keeps randomly dropping the internet, sometimes several times a day, sometimes several times an hour. I worked with my ISP tech support and Google tech support. Google kept asking me to try different things, some of which were quite technical (enable port forwarding on port 5222 with UDP protocol). Even after jumping through all those hoops it still kept falling over. I see on user forums that many google nest wifi users have the same issue. I replaced the nest wifi with a rival system which has given me no problems so far.

DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO. Added into my existing network without any issues. Using as Access point, purchased this item so I could run hardwire to game consoles where it is located.

Easy setup and one of the great features is, I don’t have to setup 2.4Ghz for my smart plugs and 5Ghz for other devices separately. The router automatically sends the appropriate signal to the devices based on their capabilities.

I purchased this router on a whim because my old Linksys router crapped out and the Google router blew it out of the water this router maximize my speed for Google Fiber I am paying for a gig up and down and I’m getting a gig up and down through Wi-Fi

Had serious wifi struggles with my previous router and this solved it all. Features like prioritizing devices for set periods of time is a really cool feature as well. Wish I would have gotten it on sale but very easy to setup and recommend.

Okay. The range feels very limited, and it always speedtests slower than advertised. Still, its super easy to use and setup, so I like it.

Your wifi signal drops off a lot the further you are from the router, but the Google Nest wifi router reduces this by creating a mesh wifi network. Worked great in my house. Best thing was the simplicity of setup and the app.

I had problems getting internet upstairs in my office. I plugged this in to create another network upstairs. It works great and I get coverage everywhere including some over lapping downstairs in my house including the basement.

Purchased this router to upgrade my first generation Google wifi mesh network. Took a little while for me to get my network setup again but my network is working better than before. I am not technically savvy in setting up networks which is why it took me a while to setup.

Bought this and immediately understood the use case. This type of router is for a small apartment or even for a smaller home. Gives you the consistent performance of having google automatic updates and great DNS performance!

We bought one of these a few months back and realized that we may need to purchase another one because of dead zones. Since we’ve had this one no dead zones anywhere in the house. And with so many devices that’s a beautiful thing!

I bought this router to add one more access point. We run an awful lot of endpoints in our house and even though the three we had seemed pretty good. Adding one more node spread the load and really steadied our stability.

I had a problem with my internet since it only arrived in certain areas of my house and google nest wifi I ended up with the problem, it is very easy to install and it is very practical and does not take up much space

The nest WiFi mesh system is the first one I’ve used it’s good if you not a power user I’ve since switched to the Orbi system but if you want a system that is simple to use it’s good

Bought this as a gift for my sister and brother in law. Have one at home and made my Wi-if signal stronger. They have a family of five and this helped them with all of their device usage.

I upgraded from a previous model and it doesn't work any better. I have this in the office and one waypoint in the master bedroom that is down the hall and works good. And 2 waypoints down stares on opposite ends of the center of the house with one wall between all points. One has a weak connection and the other drops. That's ALOT of money for 4 units that don't work like they should. I wouldn't recommend it.

This product took me a little while to figure out exactly how to use but has been a great addition ever since. I am now able to work effectively in the office located in the back room of our house aka as far from the router as possible.

Glad to have my own router so that I don’t have to worry about constantly changing my smart devices. Setup can be tricky only can you have to make sure you modem isn’t still connected to your prior modem.

I’m actually disappointed. I had been using a Netgear AC1900 placed in the center of my 1000sq ft home and wanted to expand my signal further in the yard and strengthen my signal to the ring doorbell. I bought 3 Nest wifi routers and connected each of them to the ethernet. The installation and set up is very simple via the Google Home app. My signal is much faster but the range is actually worse. I have a router placed on each end of my main level and one on the basement level and get 3-4 out of 5 bars of reception 5-10 feet away from each point. I wish I had gone with another product for better range. I would not buy this product unless you live in a small apartment.
