At first I thought everything was good with speeds going great to my phone but then when I would play online, I would see a huge dip in latency, causing my game to lag. And for COD Warzone, lag can mean life or death. The software only allow me to prioritize one device at a time and it would dramatically reduce the speed of the other non-prioritized devices. Google Home app works great with it, just not good for what I needed.

Easily controlled from wife's iPhone as well. Only downside is I lost about 20% of internet speed from my last router. With fiber internet it is worth the trade off to not worry about having too many devices connected and it shutting down like on previous router. It's worth the money to me but depending on your needs and internet connection it might not for everyone.

Useful if you end up needing it

I used it with the highest-end Xfinity gateway, and I was getting faster speeds on that network and the same coverage in my house as the whole Google mesh network. If you have a wireless router that doesn't have as good of coverage, I'm sure it would work really well. I used the previous generation system without problem for the past few years.

There can be multiple reasons that cause slower Wi-Fi speed. First, you can try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router to see if it improves the Wi-Fi speed. You can also try to bring it closer just to check if the speed will improve as there's a possibility of interference.
To get the best experience with Nest Wifi, we recommend setting your gateway in bridge mode, or disable its Wi-Fi functionality in order to set up Nest Wifi Router as your primary router, and create a mesh Wi-Fi system throughout your home. You can also try to restart your network to observe if the speed will improve.
