    I upgraded from Google's original Google Wifi router to this one, but kept the other devices to use as I was told it was backwards compatible. It turns out that it is compatible, but you'd better be sure to do everything in the correct order! I added some time and anxiety onto my upgrade by not resetting my previous access points back to factory status before adding this as my new, main router.
