    Set up is simple and straightforward. If I walk about 10’ ft away from the router my iPhone is switching to 2 ghz band without any wall between the router while my previous asus cave router is getting 5ghz all the way to my garage 25’ away and two wall.

      Thanks for sharing your feedback. Nest Wifi devices keep it simple by automatically choosing the band that gives you the best Wi-Fi connectivity. Since Nest Wifi network uses the same name for both the 2.4 and 5GHz bands, both radio bands are active simultaneously. Your personal devices (eg. smartphone, tablet, etc.) will connect to only one radio band at any given time. Based on the device capabilities, Nest Wifi attempts to select the band that will deliver the best performance for your device. Nest

    It’s not a bad unit, Google shouldn’t have moved everything over to one app though. The Google wifi app was much better.

    Good router but it didn’t help with home since I have a lot of dead zones. If you don’t have that issue then I definitely recommend.
