Even after installing three in my about 3000 square foot home, the reliability issues remained. I kept adding more and more of these routers hoping this would solve the problem. It didn't. I ended up returning this product and replacing them all with the Eero Pro Mesh system - three total. This has solved all issues. Skip Google mesh and go to Eero. By the way, the Geek Squad installer said he and a fellow Geek Squad installer ended up swapping out their Google mesh systems for Eero Pro as well.

There can be multiple reasons that cause connectivity issues.
- As a general rule, points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other. For example, if the far end of your house has weak Wi-Fi, don’t put a Wifi point in that exact spot. Instead, put it part way in that direction. Try to place it in an elevated position like on a shelf.
- Building materials and other objects located between your Nest Wifi Points and mobile devices may slow your connection. If possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your primary and secondary Points.
- There could be signal interference due to traffic on your Wi-Fi network, on your neighbors' Wi-Fi networks, or from other sources like microwaves or baby monitors.

Returned for an Eero

This was a neat device but it gave me a hard time setting it up on all of my apple equipment. When I finally got it setup I was just not satisfied with the speed and amount of things that it did.

Connection Issues

Ive called customer service, but they havent followed up after the diagnostic report. I really needed the parental controls but im disappointed.

I would recommend this to a friendLatest Firmware causes slow speed problems

The problem is that the speed of the internet for WiFi connected devices are about 25% of the modem speed and devices that are connect by ethernet to the router. Google is aware of this firmware glitch but is taking an incredibly long time to resolve. The only way for the end user to resolve is to perform a factory reset. The problem with that is that the issue occurs about every other day so you are stuck with performing a full factory reset constantly. The hardware is well designed and attractive. . . the latest firmware update is awful.
