Powerful easy to setup , worth the buck. Google never disappoints

These are pretty expensive and I was fairly disappointed to spend the money to upgrade from the previous Google WiFi mesh. These might be faster overall, but the mesh was worse than my older ones and were much more finicky about proximity to each other. Also to set it up you have to scan a QR code that is the size of a mouse dropping. Since I had to put these in whacky locations to talk to each other, it was impossible to have the right lighting to scan the QR, which was frustrating and time consuming to enter and re-enter the code manually for 4 nodes over and over while I searched for the proper distances. If you live in a new, drywall based home, these will probably be top notch for you. If you live anywhere with a lot of wood or stone walls, good luck. Maybe get some cheaper ones, or the older google mesh because it is much cheaper, and either way you will need a LOT. It is disappointing that Google doesn’t make a point to talk about wall materials or problems with rambler style houses and getting that proximity to work.

I have a two-level home and these provide great Wi-Fi coverage. Setup through the Google Home app was very easy. I also find the appearance of the stations to be pleasing, and they are very easy to keep clean.

I've had a few of the Google Nest WiFi devices, and they're all pretty easy to set up. You just fire up the Google Home app and get it all configured. There are a fair amount of options for family features, blocking, basic network monitoring, etc. The mesh works well, but nothing else is too advanced as this is a home networking device. The problem is this thing simply doesn't have enough power for WiFi 6E, gigabit internet, and 70+ devices (most hardwired). Internet speed tests with two different WiFi 6e routers maxed out around 600-700Mbps instead of the usual >900Mbps. I performed multiple tests and jumped back to my Netgear Orbi a few times and it was easily repeatable. I even tried it again months later after many updates and as of Sept 2023, it still not handling it. You can also ping the device and notice latency when it gets busy as it simply can't handle all of the traffic. Most of which is coming from Google/Nest devices, as this is a "Google" house. WiFi 6e speeds are also about 20% slower than my Orbi WiFi 6 access points. And that's with many different devices, including Pixels. Quite disappointing. Google really needs to build a proper WiFi device if they want to sell to anything other than small households with slower internet and not a lot of devices.

It does not reach as far as advertised. Immediately after set up it seemed to reach the devices (including Simplisafe Wi-fi Outdoor Cameras) but within 7 to 10 days after installation the cameras would not display. We have to use a Wi-fi extender just to get a weak but usable signal to connect to the cameras through the Simplisafe App. The good news is we get exceptional Wi-fi Speed (over 500 Mbps) for streaming to my Apple TV to watch TV and movies through my Spectrum App. Overall certainly was less effective than needed, expected and desired.

Easy to set up with Google home app, does require a Gmail

Not compatible with my mesh network of previous generation Google WIGI units. Didn't say so on the box, had to return, waste of time. Probably worth the upgrade in terms of speed but pain in the rear to have to replace all 6 of my previous generation units and then spend 2 hours programing everything.

Why didn't I know about this Mesh router earlier! This is way better than the ones from Spectrum's and you get boosted speed in the entire house. If you don't get enough speed, get this!

We didn't realize how bad our streaming was with our old mesh hub until we replaced with the latest version of the Google mesh. So much better now, very quick and signal stays stronger. We are also glad we went with the three pack vs two.

Mesh routers sometimes aren't easy to connect. I had issues connecting, had to call Google support to get them to work. Since purchasing them, everyday some of my smart home products just stop working. I restart the mesh routers and they just start working again. I also had to set them up about 20 feet apart to get a good signal.

Excellent easy to setup and monitor all devices can pause based on the schedules

In a nutshell it is a very good product with strong Wifi signal. You have to place the routers at least 3 or 4 foot above the ground level to get the good performance. It is an amazing product with very good coverage. I am really liking it.

Internet is working fine plus the price kind expensive but other than that good product streaming

I bought this when on sale to replace my original Google WiFi. Three of these were able to cover what I needed five of the original. Stepped improvement in speed as well.

This is a must have. We no longer have dead space in our home.

Excellent connection and very easy setup. Great signal strength. Love that it auto self-corrects any errors. Accessible via the Google Home app. Great all around.
