I've reset, unplugged, reset my main modem. I am about to lose my mind over struggling with internet in my home. I thought this was the fix, expensive too.

1. Your device is far from your Wifi router — Often, moving your device closer to your router or point will result in improved speeds.
2. Building materials and other objects may slow your connection — If possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router or point.
3. Some devices do not support the faster Wi-Fi standards — Speed is dependent on both the router or point and the device that is connected to it. If you have an older device, it’s likely it won’t support the latest standards for the fastest speeds.

Great Coverage. Excellent upgrade

Couple of reasons, Google was not going to update the older product to support matter/thread. Best buy is offering a convenient 15 % trade in discount over and about any other discounts. Wifi download speeds have doubled in compatible devices (>300mbps to >600 mbps).

I really wanted this to be worth the money, but it simply isn't. Devices constantly drop connections, the WiFi signal can't go through a standard house door when it's closed. The mesh network doesn't reach the upstairs. I have to restart the network multiple times per day. save yourself the trouble and go with a different brand.

We recommend performing a power cycle on your Nest Wifi Pro and see if it'll resolve the issue. Here's how:
- Disconnect the power and Ethernet cable from the primary router (parent point) and disconnect the power from the modem, leaving it unplugged for five minutes.
- Ensure that the modem and primary router lights turn off completely when unplugged.
- Some modems have backup battery packs, you will need to disconnect battery packs too. If you have other Wifi points (child points) disconnect from the power outlet as well.
- After five minutes, plug the modem back into power.
- Once all the modem lights are back on, connect the Ethernet cable to the parent point's WAN port and connect the power back to the parent point.
- Plug your modem and Nest Wifi Pro (parent point) back to the power outlet, and allow them to turn on fully, then connect the router to the modem via the WAN port. Then, plug other Wifi points back to the power outlet.
If power cycling doesn't work, try resetting to its factory default and re-setup. To factory reset, you can check out this support article: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/6246619

Don’t buy if you have Roborock

They are disallowing returns of products if not made in 15 days!!!!! Tried to return this sealed box to BB and they would not take it back!!! I am cutting up my BB card and never return. I previously had a Netgear Orbi wifi 5 mesh router set up. I wanted to upgrade to wifi 6 and get an additional satellite. The Nest Wifi Pro appealed to me because it was a 3 pack, a great price, and "wifi 6e". I plugged it in and conducted multiple tests. I could NOT get higher than 600Mbps when doing a direct router speed test. I did several tests with my Netgear router and consistently got 900mbps. I did tests with both routers plugged in, one router at a time, and even bought a Cat8 cable. So i called google. The agent told me THIS IS HOW THEIR DEVICES NORMALLY WORK. She told me that they cap their devices to 80% of what is paid for by the internet service provider. THAT WAS DIRECTLY FROM GOOGLE. She had me update DNS Server and adjust other setting and told me to wait an hour (why, that truely doesnt do anything). As expected, tested the speeds after several hours (directly in the google home app) and could not get over 600mbps. Netgear still got a consistent 900mbps. Now, 600mbps are great speeds, and the wifi speeds were great. The problem is I know Im not getting what I should, then to be told its intentional by Google, no thank you. I returned this and upgraded to a netgear 750 series and i got wifi speed tests in the 900mbps. Much better device.

Combined speeds are total speeds across all bands, and are derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications based on use of Wi-Fi 6 or later generation connected devices that support 160 MHz channels. Actual speeds will depend on your internet service provider, network conditions, connected device, local regulations and environmental factors.
For further troubleshooting you can perform a reset and re-setup using a different network name and password, you will then reconnect your devices and test out the speeds again. For more information, you can check the steps on how to reset here https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/6246619

Install can be cumbersome

Not as straightforward as an Eero system. Installation had hiccups and if you are buying it for your parents, plan to make an afternoon of it.

DO NOT BUY - OVEHEATS

After a month the routers would constantly drop the WiFi connection. Tried all kinds of recommended troubleshooting and nothing worked because the systems themselves were overheating and shutting off. Can't return it to the store because they have a 14 day return period and I'm still going back and forth with Google support to get some sort of refund, it has been several months.
