Legit phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Get this phone over the Iphone, it is so super fast and so much easier to you. All of your stuff is saved via your google account, and not some stupid apple ID. Great phone camera and overall visually great display.

Great phone...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this phone as well as Oreo 8.1. I I like the discreet design, quality without saying look at me. I also have the iPhone X and I purchased the Pixel 2 to replace my LG G5 as a running/workout phone. I like the Pixel 2 so much until I'm not sure if I want to bring it on my runs or to the gym. I also like being able to view the bluetooth codec the phone is using when listening to music. So far using only a couple of headphones and earbuds I've seen aptX and Sony's LDAC in use. You can also view the battery level of your headphones also. Good job on the Pixel 2 and Oreo 8.1.

Great Camera and OS But???????????
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first the phone was good since it had no bloat ware in it and the camera was great. The issue is with the phone getting beeps while talking on the phone and then with the last update it now has an echo effect when talking. Then after only two weeks the screen is leaving heavy wear marks that an 2 year old phone never showed. And last the battery life is not what it should be. Only good things of this phone is the camera and OS system. Returning before the two weeks are up now and going back to the IPhone.

Glitchy operating system and faulty microphones.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my phone two months ago and immediately had issues with microphone, nobody was able to hear me on the other side. I contacted Google and they sent a replacement which worked well for only 2 weeks and then the microphone started giving me similar issues only that this time it would take 30 seconds after the call was initiated for the microphones to work. Additionally there are many glitches within the operating system such as: The Adaptive brightness does not work well. The YouTube play and pause controllers do not disappear automatically, this does not happen on the pixel 2 XL. Is the volume control does not disappear out of my other when you use the physical buttons the volume gauge stays on this play until you touch anywhere else on the active screen. That split does not allow you to control the percentage of screen that you will use for each application open, this is an issue when using Google Maps on split screen as 50% of the screen is not enough.

Could have been really good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As far as operation, speed and user interface, this phone is really good, but so are most $800 phones. What negatively separates this phone from the rest and puts it in the same boat as Apple, is that Google has removed Miracast from their phones. Miracast enables you to mirror your phone's display to a TV without wifi. This is sooo important, especially if you travel and want to cast your phone to your hotel TV. Google wants you to buy their Chromecast, which doesn't work in most hotel rooms and requires a wifi connection. Good phone, but a step backwards in technology.

incoming text stopped working after upgrade
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.incoming text stopped working after upgrading a few hours after I got phone. I can send text but never got a reply. i got verizon to verify settings are OK, then contacted google support who was very responsive but could not fix issue. told me I was escalated to highest level but after 10 days still no change. I feel like google is not ready to get into this business. I tried new sim card and got a new phone but same thing repeated, so that proves it was not just a lemon and probably systemic with the combination of verizon and google pixel 2. this happened within 1st 14 days of use so I can return it but what would happen after warranty and an upgrade cause some functions to no longer work. my kids pixel 2 XL works just fine that we got on BOGO

Phone crashes randomly and consistently
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this phone after it went on sale for $450 and it was nothing but problems for 3 days. The screen would lock up, the phone would randomly shut down and or restart. Got help from Google support but still did it. Finally took it back and feel much better. If you search online you will find this phone has problems. Nice try, Google. But no cigar.

WiFi Calling Does Not Work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beware of Google and Pixel 2, especially on Verizon if you ever use wifi calling. Wifi calling intermittently turns off. Google it and you'll find thousands of reports. In the past two days I've wasted over 4 hours on the phone with Verizon and Google support. Tier 2 Google support confirmed it's an issue and stated they receive "several reports per week" but that's not enough to trigger a recall or software patch. Other than that, it's a good phone - too bad it's my last Google product. I've been an Android fan from day 1, I guess it's time to switch to Apple and switch back to Sprint.

Very Glitchy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microphone issues, auto brightness not responsive enough, blutooth volume range does not match the volume range of blutooth devices, You tube controls don't disappear automatically, and ring tone volume adjuster doesn't disappear automatically after use. Galaxy S7 was much better.
