Absolutely the best bang for the buck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use - easy to set up - fast - great camera - unlocked version was clean of extra apps. I haven't bought a phone in over 10 years.. my most recent was an iPhone 6s corporate phone. With retirement pending, it was time to buy my own. I don't need the most awesome/expensive one out there, but I was looking for a good phone for a good price. When Best Buy offered the $100 gift card it was an easy choice, but it's still a good value for $400. Completely satisfied. Just remember to get a case - it's very slippery!

great phone, but you might need a screen protector
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.pros: good camera ( especially night mode ) free image and video backup to cloud with unlimited storage space ( at a lower quality but still acceptable ) battery capacity USB-c port and audio jack don't need to wait a long time for OS updates con: got scratches on the glass panel within 2 months. I used to own a Samsung Galaxy s6 for over 3 years and it did not get a single scratch on its glass panel, not sure what's causing the scratch, maybe dragon trail glass is not that scratch-resistant? luckily the scratches are unnoticeable while in use, but you might need a screen protector if you want to have a scratch-free screen

Good basic phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for a good basic phone, this is it. Apps and mobile websites run fine. The camera is fine. The difference between this phone and a premium phone being the lack of a wide angle lense. Dragon glass vs gorilla glass seems irrelevant if you're going to put on a screen protector. No slot for adding storage capacity... It depends on how you feel about saving stuff in the cloud. I'm more of a function over form person so I personally don't care how a phone looks. On that note, the phone fits fine in my hand.

Nice Phone At A Good Price Point
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Feature packed phone at a really good price. Wish it had wireless charging. Comfortable size and easy switch over from a Samsung phone. Fast charging requires new cables.

Beautiful Phone for Fraction of the Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is truly beautiful and comes with as many bells and whistles as I want, and leaves out the ones I don't need. The camera and it's portrait feature are top-notch. As a long-time Apple user, I am so happy I switched. The AI is super responsive and I love all the little tips and tricks this phone gives me throughout many areas of use as a result. I can't believe Google is selling this for hundreds of dollars less than their direct competition! That made this choice even easier than it already was.

Great phone for a bargain price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Pixel 3a comes loaded with features for a fraction of the cost compared to most flagship phones. The winning feature has to be the low light picture taking capabilities built on top of Google AI technology. Pictures come out with great exposure and not grainy even when there is next to no light. Everything else after that is just gravy; smooth UI, cleanest form of Android OS, great screen resolution and tons of storage capacity. Well rounded phone for a budget? This is your phone.

Great phone, great price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a good phone without spending another $800 or more. This phone fits the bill! Stock Android is great, I was tired of the bloatware from Samsung although I loved my Note 5. This camera is good, screen is good, and it doesn't feel cheap, just feels like I am not babying it. I like that it doesn't have a glass back. This phone doesn't feel slow and what you compromise on, you don't really notice. Plus the price is great and makes the phone feel that much better. I am pleased overall.

great smart phone, amazing value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am an IT professional who has lots of experience with Apple and Android over the years and am extremely pleased moving to this phone from my i phone 3 weeks ago. Performance has been great, and battery life excellent (you would have to work very hard to run it down in a day). With it's low list price and significant promotion BB was offering ($100 BB gift card) buying this unit was a no brainier. I could have brought 4 or even 5 of these for the price of competitive Apple or Android phone.

As good as expected, coming from a Pixel 1
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great audio, good camera, and has a 3.5mm jack, which I still can't believe is being abandoned everywhere. After having this phone for a few weeks I can say that is working exactly how I expected it to after owning a Pixel 1. Transfer of my data between phones was easy and usability has been great. The fingerprint reader is more reliable than the Pixel 1, which is wonderful. One problem with the phone is that the squeeze for Google Assistant feature doesn't work particularly well through cases, but I don't think that there is a way to fix that and I'm not taking the case off!

Great phone for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had the phone for a week and so far so good. Great camera for a phone of this price. Even though has only a snapdragon 670, very fast for most everyday uses. Only drawback is non expandable memory. Although the 64GB storage and free photo storage ( high quality ie Max 16MP not original quality) helps somewhat.

Best value phone
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a long time Nexus and Pixel user. When it came time to get my son a phone, I wan't going to pay full price for a Pixel 4, so the 3a was an obvious choice. Size is great, it is plenty fast enough. Screen isn't quite as nice as an OLED, but it is still solid. Responsive Pixel performance. Great camera software with a fine camera. If I had to replace my Pixel 3 today, I'd probably save the $ and get one myself. Only thought is the 4a is expected around May. It could be worth waiting, but still no 5G expected, so I'm not sure what to wait for.

Great phone & great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic phone for $350 and beats my previous $700 Motorola. Well balanced and good size screen without being so big you can't fit it in any pockets. Camera takes great photos. Had one minor glitch in initial setup but was able to easily fix it with a simple internet search. Otherwise, smooth sailing and no problems. Highly recommended if you're looking for a good smartphone but not wanting to pay flagship prices.

Super nice Camera!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very skeptical about this phone when I read the spec sheet. It's got mid tier cpu snapdragon 670 and 4gb of ram. It's clearly a budget phone. I've been using the newest galaxy S and note series all the time but I had to get a phone temporarily so I decided to go with this. First of all, Camera is THE best. So much better than galaxy or iPhone. Now I know what the hype is about pixel camera. Low light shots are amazing. Portrait shots are fantastic. I don't know why they even put telephoto lens on pixel 4 when google has this good photo technology. I don't run heavy program so everything works smoothly. Touch is very snappy and feels fast and fluid. If you are looking for a budget phone, you should definitely go with pixel 4. Just like google intended, the BEST camera means more to me than higher end cpu and more ram. 64 gb of storage is enough for me so I have no complaint about that. I wish it supported micro sd card like galaxy though. if you only use phone for social media, watching streaming video and other daily stuff like email, messaging then this is the perfect phone for you. You can do all of these with other budget phone in competition but no other phones have THE best camera. Google made smart decision with pixel 3a for lowering specs a bit but put the best camera in the market. Now I don't have to get a new galaxy or iPhone unless they come out with super attractive function. I realized now after all, phone is a phone and this is a phone with the best camera (oh my gosh, I need to mention this again). Until then, this will be my phone.

Great mid range phone
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cheaper alternative to flagship pixel phones but with almost the same quality camera. I purchased the phone for $299 on black friday and at that price point you would be very hard pressed to find a better phone. Google promises to keep all Pixels up to date for three years, and the 3a even already has Android 10. The only slight negative - I wish the battery life was a bit better but this seems to be a problem of late - manufacturers have a tradeoff of weight versus battery life and personally I think they are erring on the wrong side!

Google's best phone is their afforable line
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paid full price for this phone $400. I do not regret it one bit because it is such a great phone. Camera is the best out there. I don't use my phone near the water so water resistance is unnecessary for me. I love the headphone jack. Screen resolution is very good. Speakers sound great. The only issue I have is the size. It's a long phone so every time you sit down, your phone will stab you in your lower abs. If you run, you will likely need to buy a bigger phone holder. 4/5 rating.
