Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Pixel 3a XL's camera quality, describing it as outstanding and still good even in 2024. They also appreciate its affordable price, long battery life, and user-friendly interface. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the limited storage capacity, lack of wireless charging, and choppy speaker audio at high volumes.

In the past year I have had two Google Pixel 3a phone's. I was really excited about having a Google phone because I enjoy using Google apps (drive, gmail, calendar). My last phone had many issues and I was looking for a product that would work for a few years. My boyfriend and his whole family have Google devices. After their recommendation, I purchased the 3a in May 2019. Two months later the screen wouldn't work and would freeze, so I contacted Google. They sent me to uBreakiFix to replace the screen (all covered under warranty). That didn't work. I reached out to Google a second time and they replaced my Pixel 3a with a refurbished Pixel 3a. My refurbished device lasted until the end of July 2020. Then it began having a different screen issue. The screen would become discolored (a purple tint), but I could still use the device. The purple discoloration would go away if I pushed in the center of my screen. I contacted Google again and they wouldn't help because my warranty expired (a week before). Now I am stuck with a device that will randomly turn purple. I'm now considering buying a different device NOT in the Google family because of this experience.

The only thing good about phone is that it so it supports Telecom bands in the US. A 150$ MI phone performs much better than this but they are probably forbidden from supporting the bands in the USA. Within 4 months of usage, I am noticing slowness, battery draining fast, hanging and other issues. Camera is good but cannot compensate for poor performance

this phone belongs in a dollar store. first off - the camera that is promised, isnt even equipped on the phone. CRAPPY quality photos are processed into the promised "high def 13mp back camera" photos. both of the cameras suck, from someone who went from an iphone8+ to THIS... the iphone SE was and still is better than this crappy pixel phone. secondly - my screen cracked, i had a screen protector on, and an "outdoor waterproof" case, which i thought was pretty hefty & sturdy until i dropped my phone and it cracked. the glass is low quality. youd get a better screen by buying a trac phone from the dollar store. ALSO when i dropped my phone, my screen stopped working ( which is why im now writing this review from a laptop ) the google pixel is not worth the hype - a month ago i wouldve rated the phone 5 stars, but now with all of the "low space" notifications, my cracked screen, my NON functioning screen ACTUALLY, this rating deserves to be a zero but that isnt possible. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SAVE YOUR MONEY for the newest iphone. i made a huge mistake switching from iphone to pixel, and now im regretting it.

    Poor Quality Phone

My son purchased this phone at Best Buy approximately 5 months ago along with Google's "protective" case. He was at work the other day using it for his job, had it sitting on his lap, it slipped off and fell to the floor. (The distance was about 12 inches.) The screen shattered and apparently there was also internal damage. I spent a lot of time on the phone with their cs rep assuring me only the repair of the screen would need to be paid for. Their repair shop YOUBREAKITIFIX advised me otherwise, and I was told the phone has a glass screen and not gorilla glass. He would be responsible for the entire repair cost. Google does NOT stand behind their product unless, you purchase their additional warranty. It's a cheaply made phone and has absolutely no quality. I highly recommend that you stay away from this phone. Keep in mind you get what you pay for!!!!!

I bought this phone new, 2 weeks later, it fell off my desk onto hardwood floor and screen was shattered. I could not believe how easily it broke and cost me $150 to repair it. 1. it was connected to a power bank and the cord dampened the fall, still it shattered. 2. a desk is a just little over 2 feet tall 3. it fell on nailed down hardwood, not tiles, concrete. Conclusion: had I dropped it on tiles or concrete , I would lost the whole phone beyond repairs. shame on google, Not acceptable
