This won't blow anyone's mind in terms of specs, but Google has still worked some magic. The screen isn't as bright as I'd like, but the 90Hz refresh is a nice consolation prize. Hardware feels great in hand, software is buttery smooth, camera is the best. Wish it had wide angle, but the consistent quality of pics makes you forget.

    Mediocre Value and Several Dealbreakers

Despite seeing nearly universally terrible reviews from bloggers and Redditors, I wanted to see for myself and gave this phone a try. The performance is top notch, perhaps the best of any phone currently available, period. However, even at the 599 price I paid, the value was not there, mainly because 64 GB is NOT enough space. If you only use your phone for phone calls and the occasional text, email, and browsing, then yes 64 GB may be enough - but you should get a Pixel 3a or the upcoming Pixel 4a. Paying an extra $100 for a usable amount of storage in 2020 is a total joke. Also, the phone, lauded for its camera, has terrible video shooting, and lacks an ultrawide angle lens. For me, these three negatives combined were dealbreakers, and so I returned the phone.

I bought this phone for my son while it was on sale and he loves it! He was coming from an iPhone and had no problems moving his stuff over and learning how to use android. The camera and google assistant are awesome! Phone runs very smooth and battery last him all day. I’m considering buying one for myself.

This is a great phone with a clean Google Android and monthly updates. Display has been improved and the face unlock is extremely fast. This phone continues to get better over time especially with the Pixel feature drops that Google announced. If you can get this with a discounted price that would be even better!

Love the phone. It's a bit overpriced (not BestBuy's fault) but the Android experience is the cleanest of all Android phones. The camera is superb, screen is great. Battery has been really good even though it's not as big as some others out there.

I loved this phone. The software for zooming in really cleans the picture and is great. However, I switched to the iPhone 11 pro max, because the front camera is 12 MP instead of 8 on this one, and the video is 60 fps compared to 30 fps on this one. I addition, the wide angle is on the iPhone, but not this one.

I have the Pixel 2 (love it) and I bought the Pixel 4 XL for my husband for his birthday. The camera is INSANELY good! The phone has a great battery life and is very fast. So far nothing bad to mention. He absolutely loves it and so do I! Wireless charging is fun. Screen seems durable.

The pixel is the best overall Google phone. It is quick jumping between apps and feels great in the hands (narrow phone). The best thing about this picture is the photos it takes in the day or night! The new motion sense feature is useful when hands are busy. Overall great phone that last all day.

The only issue many had with the Pixel 4 was the battery life. When some software updates, the battery is much better. Great phone, no bloatware preinstalled like other phone makers have. And, or course, the best camera on the market! I highly recommend the Google Pixel 4 XL

I'm the kind of person that prefers pure Android and gets annoyed with other manufacturers skins and they put on top of Android. This phone does not blow me away, but it does everything I need it to satisfactorily. Pictures are top-notch.

The OS is so different from my wife's Samsung that I hear her complain constantly . The camera is pretty nice and the screen size helps in watching video. Its a nice phone but probably our last Pixel. We will stick with Samsung.

the phone is great..battery life is not terrific but better than how most people complain about it. It's a bit expensive considering the low amount of storage and other hardware specs. Google clearly trying to gauge people for money, but overall I'm happy with the phone.

I have owned every generation Google phone and have noticed very little difference between all of them. The camera is a little better on this model, however getting rid of the fingerprint sensor on the back was not a good choice.

I've had almost all of the Nexus and Pixel devices, and while they've all had their share of the years newest biggest controversial issue (blown out of proportion) due to the manufacturer with the G. This device is solid. The battery life if anything has been the best of any of their phones. The 90Hz refresh rate for the display is very smooth. The face unlock is better than any fingerprint sensor. What's there not to like with just looking at the display to unlock? Some major banks are already supporting it as well. They also just announced new feature drops for all Pixels. This means you will see new software features and Google is known for they software experience. Pixel devices will not have the latest hardware in all areas because they don't need to. I came from a 3XL and while if you have a 3XL you probably can get by without upgrading, but this is enough of an upgrade if you can swing the cost.

The size and feel of the phone is great. The screen is amazing with a high refresh rate, etc. Only wish they put an ultra-wide lens on it. Other than that the battery life isn't the greatest. Overall a really good device though.
