Worst Camera I ever owned! Forward camera no longer works. Less than a year old. Volume down button no longer works. I wonder if Google will give me a phone to use when I send it back for warranty service? After the android update (12) a few days ago, many programs no longer work or don't work correctly ie. missed Text reminder. Well it does still remind me with the two horn toots. But it will not let me turn off the reminder. Horn toots every minute. Really? Have to go to apps and force stop it. Isn't that convenient? Once again I am going to do a factory reset, however I didn't help in the past so I expect it won't work any better this time. Then I have to find out how to get Google warranty done. Oh, I think the battery is now lasting much shorter.

It’s an ok phone for the price, a bit laggy and slow tho

A few minor bugs that happened to be a make or break situation for me.

I like my old apple a lot better. I wish a book came with this phone.

This unlocked phone only read my husband T-Mobile SIM for 3 months. picture quality from camera was good and so does the processor but this was bought as a phone which did not measure up on google standard.

Basic features like weather, messaging, keyboard, and even the much-hyped camera somehow keep breaking due to Google's "fixes". It's telling that they can't even/won't properly support their new shiny products, especially the main features they marketed for It took me 4 tries just to type the last sentence, that's how bad the keyboard is. I wish I was exaggerating. I'm not sure how a giant corporate juggernaut makes a phone in 2020 worse than a budget low tech phone from 2015, but Google somehow managed it Oh and you get a bunch of creepy apps that you can't turn off that seem to collect all sorts of data on you. They could have been subtle about it, but you'll randomly see software dev-type stuff pop up during normal use. Even their core products like Gmail have persistent bugs that hamper daily use

It's ok. I find it very small, wish it came with the XL option.

The phone worked pretty well the first couple weeks, but then started having glitches like part of the screen no longer sensed touch, pinch zoom quit working, would not connect to Bluetooth. I returned the phone rather than getting it repaired since i found many examples of similar issues when searching online. This would be a wonderful budget phone if it did not glitch out so quickly. I was still within the window for an activated device so was able to easily return the phone. The staff was very helpful with the return and I did not have to pay a restocking fee.

I’m an iPhone guy so it would take a lot to win me over.

My phone was left at my door and I wasn’t home, I thought I was supposed to sign for it, hmm... I didn’t like that at all. The box didn’t have a book in it to tell me about the phone and how to use it, I don’t like the phone because I don’t know how to work it.

Pros: Looks great. Slim form. Clean UI. No Bloatware. Cons: Responsiveness is sluggish. I tried to end an active call but couldn't even after closing all apps. Had to restart the phone to end the call! Keyboard would not always display when clicking on inputs.

Liked the price, but this had a terrible camera. Cases available were also terrible. FYI- this is the budget model in comparison to pixel4. Returned and got a Samsung Note 20. So happy with my Note 20.

I barely had the phone but 2 months ink exploded inside. I was told that when the phone is in the back pocket or in a tight bending area the screen will go bad. Never had that problem w/Samsung. The camera was hard to figure out.

the team helping me was nice but yesterday all the sudden my phone started malfunctioning and it did nothing but on the charger all day so i inquired as to what i should do and the service member just said buy a new one as if it would be so easy to do so

Amazing phone with an amazing camera and price tag

Usually I never write reviews but thought of letting other users know about the issues around this phone.. I have decided to switch from iphone to Android and after my research decided to buy this phone. it's disappointing to see how Google released this phone despite of bugs. The touch is unresponsive some times for sending a text message it takes 20 mins. More over if you try to open a app from Home screen it will open another. Google knew about the touch screen bug way early and not showing any care to resolve. Please avoid this phone and find something else, also look up on Google "pixel 4a touch screen issue" you'll see so many posts on this. My 100$ back up phone works way better than this.

I've loved the previous Pixel phones, but avoid this one like the plague. Everything worked fine and great for 1 year since I purchased it. Then like clockwork, 2 1/2 weeks after, the screen just stopped working. No previous issues, just one day, nothing. Screen flickering and not responding to any touch. Contacted support, and they told me, 'Tough luck, warranty's expired'. My only options were to trade-in for a new model, or pay for repairs at one of their local repair partners. I guess with the new line of phones, they really skimped on quality, or this is there way of making some additional revenue on repairs.

Google made this phone so that (on average) it would break early and you will buy a pixel 5a. This is the only pixel with no ip67 rating and it WILL BREAK!

The hardware is fine. However, after one week, I got a warning that I had used all of my Tracfone data because the version of Android set the phone to use roaming data and allowed Google Services to use unlimited data. This is not acceptable.
